Everytime I tune into your channel, I learn something new and Interesting as you explain what's at hand. I'm in the process of setting up my lathe and getting in to it. That’s a love piece of wood and great turning skill - I’ve made a few items that size but find them really hard to sell - the usual reaction is “very nice but I’ve no room for something that big” - maybe we need bigger houses in UK.

Very good work great platter. Butternut wood is not my favorite but you make it very desirable. My favorite American wood is walnut There are many beautiful woods but my favorite is walnut. Just me and my likes. Keep up the great wood turning and smile more.

Very nice platter. Can you turn your head stock 180 degrees? You can turn larger pieces on the out board side, just need to purchase a different tool rest. Enjoy seeing you turn a variety of local wood.

Good job. I like the surface design. I made a cookie platter about the same size out of honey locust. The wood looks very similar. Mines a little darker. I put a lip at the edge a quarter inch by a quarter inch. Keep turning and keep safe.
