Annetjie, goed om van 'n Afrikaner hier te lees. Ekself draai soms met kameeldoring - veral penne. Ek het baie jare in die weste van Botswana gewoon en daar dikwels met kameel en hardekool gewerk. Beide baie hard. Groete.

No I live in the UK, found this wood online for the burner in the garden, once I got a good look at it thought some of it was too good to burn, I would like to get a bigger piece of it but apparently its a protected tree over there and they can only harvest bits from the floor? 👍

@@MattJordanWoodturning yes, it is on the red list of species, since it is very sought after as a long burning firewood and it can't regenerate fast enough to keep up with demand. However, I've seen a few projects where it is part of a drive to actively reintroduce it to the various hardwood species back on farms and game reserves. Google also spits out a few websites where it is still actively being sold locally. Not sure about legalities around export, though.

I saw red epoxy, then gold epoxy and had to make sure I was on the right channel. What happened - did you run out of blue? Love what you did with the pieces - you could make some really sexy curling stones like that...

I use three, one is my phone which is a Galaxy Note 8, the other is a cannon M50, I use these two for the filming on the bench work, but most of the filming on the lathe is done with a cheap action cam with holes drilled in the holder to let the sound in, if you follow the link in the description to my kit and the camera is listed there, its about £20 at the moment, batteries are cheap enough too and so is the extra charger 👍

Hello! What kind of device do you use for drying epoxy? Does this metal bucket with a compressor run out of high-pressure air? How much faster does epoxy dry? And another question, where do you buy colored powder for mixing with glue? Does he have a special name?

It is called a pressure pot. Usually you fill it with 40 to 50 lbs of air pressure. This compresses the air bubbles to almost invisible. 24 hours in pot before releasing air. The powder is called mica, woodcraft stores and craft supplys sell them.

Reduces the bubbles so you can't see them, also sends the epoxy into the wood for a good bond, its fast curing resin to the pressure pot is needed.
