That's the sort of thing i loved watching. To see a one off individual creation being made. The time and patience and understanding shown by the man crafting it. Taking what seemingly appears to be useless and making something not only useful but visually appealing. What it also does is shows the positive characteristics within a man to be able to do such a thing. This is what reminds that there is still good in the world when nothing else makes much sense. Great video. When I was in 9th grade woodshop I was making a lamp out of laminated 1 by 4 maple and oak. It came out great but not before it loose while I was turning it down. I was very lucky, I wound up with only a broken nose. I didn't let that stop me from finishing it but it was a great life lesson.

From my point of view it would be totally ugly. Not because of Matt in particular, but I don't understand this wood-plastic combination at all. I think it's ugly. I would like to see some really nice woodturning. But everybody on YT pours epoxy over the wood. I don't get it.
