Very nice Martin! Love the hole in the side, looks like a badly drawn outline of Australia! Made one the same shape from a fallen oak limb last year, the smallest of a nesting set. Didn’t position the initial chuck quite right and the mouth is slightly lopsided like it’s had a stroke.. it was for the bin but the wife put it in the kitchen with garlic in it, winds me up every time I see it! Anywho, keep going, love seeing what you come up with!

Try spindle turning a big crotch, placing the tailstock in the crotch (or the headstock if you have an extension). Put a tenon on the other end, turn round and hollow. You get a similar shape, including the bark,, and very cool grain.
