Loved the longer format, thanks for offering it! What piece were you chiseling at 8:35? Spare for illustration? Noticed the same clip on the other video but figured I would ask haha

I know you already did your survey, but count my vote towards a shorter video like this. Packed with info, was entertained the whole time, and picked up some new tricks. Thanks!

My apologies if this is already been said but both the short and long versions of the videos are wonderful. For projects you were interested in making you can watch the long ones and ones you’re interested in just soaking up the videos the short ones are great. Thanks for all of them

Great build! I definitely like the shorter versions for inspiration, and the longer ones for more in-depth skill-building.

Great build Marc. I enjoy the short format for entertainment purposes. If I was ever to build this desk I would certainly reference the longer videos. Thank for doing what you do!

Good to have the short version but people need to watch the long version if only for a valuable lesson about guide bearings on router bits (and to witness the Spag meltdown 😂)

Beautiful work, as always Mark. I really like both methods like this, as I may not always have time to watch the full build videos until I've committed myself to building something. This gives me an introduction to the piece and will help me decide if I think I can handle the process or not.

I see you left out one of the trials of your patience. Heheh. Great job! It's amazing how you can take the long videos, cut them down to less than 1/4, and still show all the salient parts to make it a great build video.

Mark, this looks beautiful. I. Strongly considering making one. How did the overall strength of this feel with the angled legs? Did the shelves feel pretty secure?
@woodwhisperer
@woodwhisperer 3 жыл бұрын
Seems to be doing well. The shelves are plenty sturdy. But there’s definitely more wobble in this design than most typical desks. The narrow but wide footprint definitely plays a role. But Nicole has it loaded up and uses it every day.

Like the short clip but your fingers are getting too close to the table saw blade !! Makes me cringe at times. Beautiful Craftmanship.
@woodwhisperer
@woodwhisperer 4 жыл бұрын
My fingers are within my personal “safe zone.” The only rule of mine that I break in this video is reaching around behind the blade. Not ideal, but on some odd-shaped pieces, it’s what I need to do to keep the piece against the fence.

Clearly, the drawer was one of those "just because" things. It wasn't any more functional and nobody will see it unless you open the drawer. I think I would have just made the drawer front that way and made a square drawer.

So what you're saying is the fans want you to do as much work as possible to appease all audiences, silly. The content you have created over the 10 or so years I've been watching is more than adequate.
