Jokes aside, the difference is that for a tall guy, a taller girl is exotic and attractive. For a short guy, it might be the 100th girl that will never see him as a man and mocks him to her friends, along with society in general, so she represents suffering if he's also lonely. Heck, even my female family members and friends will openly mock short men and call them unnaceptable to my face because they don't even consider that'd make me feel bad, since the whole of society does the mockery and it becomes so natural. There's 0 empathy, and it can ruin your emotional life if you're not lucky. Of course, finding one that doesn't mind and then YOU leaving her makes you a crazy sob.
