I like how Yuji called Kento teacher when he met him in episode 9. What’s really funny is how he immediately tells Yuji not to call him that. He was literally teaching him things about how to be a competent Sorcerer when they were fighting Mahito’s unfortunate victims earlier in the episode. I don’t know about you but to me that’s what a teacher does.

Jujutsu Kaisen is an exceptional anime that only occurs only a few times a decade. It is truly unique and doesn't follow any tropes. I will be recommending this anime to everyone, even beginners. I'm excited to see where this show will end up.

Nah, it follows tropes. There's a reason it has an entire page of 'em over on The Website. They're slightly less conventional in a lot of respects but the show's not as unique as a lot of people like to think - mind, this is coming from someone who's able to make the time to watch at least the first six episodes or so of every new seasonal anime and still have the time to catch up on golden oldies that get recommended. I know not everyone has that opportunity. Jujutsu Kaizen's a diamond in the rough to be sure but it's by no means truly unique - it borrows a lot of ideas and plot beats from both older works and newer ones as well, it just combines them a bit differently. Sort of. Chainsaw Man's echoing a lot of plot beats between the two as well.
