Be it known that these videos have sent me down the strangest rabbit holes after a simple search into a number or description of an SCP from the game, followed by curious clicks on in-text links. The light containment breach video eventually had me learning about SCP potato-land expeditions and the horrible - and preventable as usual - IRL social conditions behind the Irish potato famine - the Great Hunger. So far this one has me learning about philosophical zombies, after looking for an SCP description of the screen boogeyman… 😅

The SCP on the monitors was SCP-079 also known as Old AI and SCP-914 is the clockworks, 008 is the zombie virus where you finally re-find SCP-173 in the control room where you must close the hatch, lure SCP-173 out, close the door, and get into the elavator again.

But the idea of a machine designed to break my body in its cold mechanical grasp, broadcasting my agony for the pleasure of an interdimensional demon reduces me the scared, pant-pooping little boy inside.

36:10 Many badly-written SCPs just never get approved or they get re-written, so there's mostly only subjectively bad ones left. Some are very confusing by their nature (such as ones involving time travel, multiple timelines, or "pataphysics"), but not necessarily bad. That being said, I really don't like SCP-231; it feels like it was written by someone in their edgy-teenager phase. In terms of SCPs being 'stupidly overpowered' - there are a couple that are kill-everything-lol SCPs, but are still written in an interesting way. One of my favourite examples of that is SCP-2935, which quite bluntly is a cave with two openings that if you walk through it and back, will kill absolutely everything in the universe (including bacteria, AI, and even ghosts), with the exception of the person who walked through it. Its written mostly as a series of exploration logs of the team that walked through it (but not yet tried returning), arriving at a parallel universe that is already dead because of a similar team doing exactly what they are doing. i.e. it's an infinitely long series of parallel realities which are being ravaged by 'absolute death' like it's a contagious disease - and the exploration team became infected the moment they walked through it at the start.

Know what would be a horrifying SCP scenario? Going down SCP-450 to repair the seal in that prison. Context: a haunted penitentiary is apparently either a gateway to some form of underworld or it simply houses the vicious souls of the prisoners in the Death Row wing, held back by a ritual seal of blood behind the electric chair which rots over time. If this seal were to degrade fully, it could be devastating so every other day someone has to walk nearly 200 meters down this Death Row at virtually a snails pace. The problem with 450 is not only do you have to repair the seal, but the wing's inhabitants have certain rules: Can't walk fast, cant be inside the wing longer than 25 minutes, cant turn your head, cant acknowledge any voices, cant investigate anything on the ground or near you, cant make a sound, and cant be in the wing more than once per day. Violating these rules will instantly kill the provocateur via the spirits mercilessly ripping you into a pile of meat by dragging you through the cell bars like a cheese grater. If someone does not come out after 25 minutes, nobody will come to save them and be declared dead. This also means they gotta get more blood cuz chances are the bucket the past guy brought would be spilled and then when you try to pick it up you die anyway. The stress of walking 11 minutes back and forth slower than you can breathe in a prison wing full of some evil entities while trying to keep some seal from rotting would make for an immersive visual and auditory puzzle game.

That would make for a SUPER interesting game if done correctly. That is the wonderful thing with the SCP universe- you have so many intriguing topics, scenarios, and entities to mess with and to put your own spin on. Terrifying, full of lore, and full of possibilities.

about the powerfull scp, there is 2 categories, the "real" scp with interesting lore, and the " fake" only made to be some super powerfull characters

I usually break it down into 3 categories the old-school SCP objects, funky things that just do wacky stuff, can be dangerous , usually has good lore, and doesn't redact 90% of the content a lot of the bad "uhh this guy can do whatever he wants, that's it" are in this category New-School SCP Objects are usually weird concepts, or super complex items with 1000s of words of lore in them, but most of it is just meh, not any real substance then there's what i call "the good ones" These are the ones like 5000, 3000, 7004, 3199, as well as some of the 001s

Actually, in lore containment breaches are pretty rare, but then again, watching an experiment for ten minutes then filling paperwork for a few hours wouldn't make for an interesting game, would it? The real Foundation saved the world more times than any superhero.

The most annoying SCP for me is: SCP-610, also known as The Flesh that Hates, is an evil faction in the SCP Foundation Mythos. It is a highly contagious disease, causing mutations to the human body of the infected, which has overrun several townships in Russia. Feels like it wouldn't actually be able to be contained if it were real so it's overpowered AND unrealistic to me.

1:16:06 They did, it failed (No Casualities), and any further tests have been denied by the higher-ups. The tests included the Peanut (173) and the hard to destroy lizard (682) [Results a staring match for 6 hours] Shy guy (098) and the lizard [after a 27 hours Lizard was cut in pieces but still alive and regenerating, Shy guy battered and traumatized] There's a few others that I'd have to relook into....

Game wise SCP-173 is the worst. Larry can be contained and everything else can be avoided. As for the stories, other than the numerous attempts at SCP-001, SCP-682 was the most annoyingly written for me so far. They made it too powerful and way too vague imo. I like SCP-682 don't get me wrong but, I feel like he only got some depth through the stories with him and SCP-053.
