The plans for the storage boxes sound great. You two, and Elio, always seem to have a lot of fun. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.

@26:58 In the 30's and 40's semis had sleepers under the trailer on some trucks called coffin sleepers. The stones thrown by the truck wouldn't let you sleep and there were some cases of the sleeper falling off and getting run over by the trailer. Looks Good !

I’m watching the vid and “puttin on the ritz” comes on and the wife says “that sounds familiar. We watched “Young Frankenstein” again a couple of weeks ago so I did my rendition singing “PUTTIN ON THR RITZ” like the monster did in the movie and light struck cause she remembered where she’d heard it lol. The grandkids not so much, it’s too bad I can’t catch them up by letting them watch it… Anyway I needed a good laugh and this did it😉 Sweet ride for sure too, it’s fun seeing you two get together on projects! Maybe you’ll do a “ground up” build together someday when you’re all caught up?! (As if🙄) Thanks for taking us along✌🏼

Phew that's a lot of welding. But it going to be a great looking rig. Probably gonna get as many looks as whatever it is hauling. I think the General should get a shiny paint job cause it was well built also. Using the same colors and skeem. In the military the generals jeep was always the only shiny vehicle in the whole regiment.

btw Karl since your using dissimilar metals, you want to stop galvanic corrosion so place hard plastic neoprene small sheets between the aluminum checker plate at all the mounting places to the metal that its attached to, if you don't it will corrode on ya pretty dern fast.

Aren’t you guys concerned about electrolysis? You have aluminum diamond plate going on steel supports. If left outside, it’ll corrode. This, obviously, is after the fact, but you need rubber washers in between.
