Price the SawStop PCS 3-HP Cabinet Saw on Amazon: amzn.to/2aiqm9T
My SawStop table saw is the heart and soul of my shop. 99.99 percent of the projects that get built in my shop at one time or another will see the table saw. It is important to me to have a finely tuned, well-constructed, and a darn good looking saw in my shop. The PCS is exactly that.
It is a SawStop of course, which means, it has their patented flesh sensing technology. But if you look at the saw itself and take away the SawStop technology, you will see an extremely well-constructed saw that would easily be at the top of the charts. It very well built, the tolerances are extremely tight, and the overall experience with the saw is wonderful.

Really appreciate that review, one of the only ones that honestly talks about the sliding fence. Have you considered the large sliding fence? It seems to have positive stops with a much larger crosscut capacity.

Thank you so much for this video. After thinking for some time about what brand of saw to buy and listening to many others speak about it, I will buy it for myself. I will add the router table extension for mine.

FYI I have owned sliders that have positive stops for the cross cut fences and every single one has to be checked for squared up to the blade and adjusted. I my opinion the slider attachment for this saw works extremely well compared to some of the other big brand sliders.

Very good review mate, the sausage looked a little nervous though so I hope you cooked it up for a nice meal, I respect the tech behind this saw & I think it can only be expanded on. This saw costs about $4200 Aussie dollars here so I think with caution & a good set of specs similar comparable saws fit the budget better, 👍🏻

Hey Amigo, nice nice work. Good material. One piece of advice that's not very easy to find BUT... at 4:58 you're installing what looks to be a Freud blade with anti kickback teeth... DO NOT USE a blade with anti kickback teeth on a SawStop. SawStop doesn't communicate it well, but will verify it if you call them. The raised kickback teeth interfere with the brake cartridge and increase the likelihood of a serious injury exponentially. There's even a couple videos out there of guys getting torn up bad with a anti kickback blade on a SawStop.

Great review less the 1 inaccuracy. The blades are not junk once activated. The block that's fired is aluminum, which is softer than the steel blade. A simple sharpening and it's good to go. Unfortunately, been there, done that and got the sharpening bill for proof :)

The blade brake going off is startling, but searching through a mound of sawdust for a missing digit is traumatic. I don't see the value in setting off the brake when you can quickly google tablesaw injury photos, which can provide a more accurate account of what you could be avoiding by carefully using your saw. The goal is to NOT be familiar with the sound of the saw brake, but to avoid it ever happening.

Great review. I have a question for you: How do they deliver the saw? Do they provide lift gate service? Do they help to deliver the packages INTO the garage?
@larrymills7631

Mine was delivered by freight truck with lift. It was unloaded and rolled to the garage. Be sure and ask who you buy it from about how it is delivered.

Other manufacturers were not willing to pay the inventor to use this technology. He offered it to all of them, they all said no, so he started his own saw company.

When the power is shut off, does the sawstop feature work when the blade is coasting?
@markgado8782
@markgado8782 2 жыл бұрын
I imagine so. But the blade has an electrical brake also for this. Seen others say it stops in 3 seconds. No coasting..

Why does everyone doing the "hot dog test" slow down to an absolute crawl before making contact with the hot dog? I want to see someone pushing that dog through at a normal speed. If it is really my finger, I'm not going to slow down and gently make contact with the blade and my finger. Every online demo I've seen slows down to be barely moving when the hot dog hits the blade.

Hey, I'm fixing to take the plunge and get what you have in this video. My question is on the sliding table. You said you love it and hate it. Could you go into a little more detail on it? There are not very many reviews on this. My next question is on the top dust collection. Would you recommend that or not really worth it?
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 7 жыл бұрын
Regarding the sliding table, if you have the room to the left of your saw, yes get it! If you don't it won't be utilized and a smaller cross cut sled would be better. I could leave the top dust collection as I feel it gets in the way. But for some cuts, it is nice to have.

This is a trivial detail, I just want to say that tt 7:34 you said the centrifugal force pulls the blade down; it's actually inertia that pulls it down, but again, trivial detail.

So here is what i cant understand if you buy 1.75 hp version but want to upgrade to 3hp version they charge you 430$ and they pretty much swap motors, so you get 3hp and they keep 1.7 hp , and both motors are taiwan made , but if you buy 1.75 hp model and just go to leeson website they have 3hp table saw motors for 526$ usa made and you keep ur 1.75 hp u can sell back or keep for what ever project !!!!!!

These are nice saws but they are so out of price range of the average or low income woodworker. They keep throwing it up, well how much is it worth not to cut off a finger. Well that's a messed up guilt trip. Make these saws affordable to everyone not just people with perfect Credit and nice homes in the burbs. P.S no one wants to loose a finger .

Blade says "Made in China"... I don't have a problem with that in terms of quality. The quality is either there or it isn't but some may not want to buy from China at the moment. Where is the rest of the saw made? Looks like a good piece of kit.
