I've played Radical Red 3 times and Gary's Electivire always spams Close Combat on Ghost types. It's not the AI pulling 6D chess, it's just stupid. I suspect it's a bug with the AI calculating its strongest move and not realizing the mon it's facing is immune. It refused to Volt Switch out in front of an Aegislash and a Chandelure, which aren't even immune like A-wak is.

Its cause the only move he can hit you with if you're alola-wak Lightingrod is ice Punch, and since you're Fire type he sees you as resisting the move, and resisting gives the same amount of prioritizing and deprioritizing as Immunities, so he sees cc as stronger and clicks it. (My assumption, I haven't messed with the AI, just going off of your post and my experience.)

But for aegi and Chandelure, Blues AI is messed up.

funfact, that fight is even more broken, if you switch in motor drive emolga on electivires volt switch, then encore it, this electivire will use ice punch, even through the encore did not fail (this is a 2.2 bug)

breloom's a good choice but you might require some luck because it's a low encounter

Some very usefull pokemon that have prority or just are extremely fast are fake out and Aqua jet technician floatzel, scolipede, nijask(It has a signature move that does more dmg the more faster you are than the opponent) , technician breloom ,super luck sucker punch honchcrow , blazing soul flamethrower , triage Meganium and just strong scarfers

So yeah, no spec eruption spam.I played the game before the patch happened and i can say specs eruption with blazing soul was too op .You literally one shotted all pokemon that doesnt resist you.I mean yes once you defeat the champion you can use blazing soul eruption but at that point you have already beaten the game

To be fair Erika is the first serious difficulty spike in radical red imho. I wasn’t prepared for the meganium buffs my first go around, and Erika’s team is really well balanced.

Yes, radical red is difficult if you have only had a few good pokemon. I did a fairy only run and I lost about 23 times to Koga's spoiler alert mega Toxtricity I only beat it after I was able to set the Trick Room up and kill it with mega Gardevoir. Now I'm strategising for Bruno's spoiler alert: Zacian. Also yes it was a Nuzlocke so the death of Hatterene who set up the trick room actually mattered.

didnt watch Live so idk what Wolfey is doing, but I remember when I played Radical Red there is a super easy thief strategy to get basically infinite Nuggets (or Lucky Eggs which sell for about the same) rather quickly, so either he did that strategy for a while or he just bypassed it and hacked the money for convenience sake since its usually not that hard to do.

You do know that you can sweep gardenia with only crobat and charizard holding a charcoal. acrobatics on crobat and flare blitz on charizard. I know this because thats how i defeated her edit: i did this on minimum grind mode blind non nuzlocke Edit 2: Im stuck on claire pls help
