Esther Perel, thank you for giving us the tools for working and understanding relationships. Especially in this disposable culture we live in, where people aren’t willing to do the work and are ready to throw it all away and just move on. You are the best ❤️🙏🏻

This is a long comment. Most of you will not even read it. Basically Esther has insight that not all therapist have. Here is the rest of it. I have been on a journey trying to figure out where my marriage went wrong and having been to marriage counselling (almost 2 years) and now what I call "grieve" divorce counselling. I have started to realize while many therapists and medical professionals in person or youtube try to help they seem to only give it from their own point of view. Esther Perel actually tries to connect all the dots. She seems to as Dr John Gray reports relationships are more complex then just going to your friends for advice. Dr Esther Perel seems to be able to analyze the whole history and todays issues for relationships. I personally contacted Esther Perel for personal counselling as I also have come to become more self aware. Men and women are just not understanding each other. That is generalized statements and listening to Esther Perel counselling sessions one can see how different each case is. I also came across divorce stats (we all know quite high and Michele Weiner-Davis discusses it). I came across a few US states starting to instigate mandatory courses before marriage which I think would help my children. I believe also what the experts say. My children are going to suffer from this divorce as I can see them already so unhappy lashing out in disrespectful and self destructing ways (school concentration lacking). The amazing thing is my ex has been able to make everyone and my own children think I am totally to be blamed. I am not perfect for sure. But anyway as I sit here totally alone and single with no dating ability as I see it I cannot but help write this. I think Esther and Michele Weiner-Davis and John Gray are ahead of their time in their analysis, yet behind in their time in their delivery to me and the general public. Not their fault. They are trying to tell us. We in general just do not get it. They did their best and I am not sure many of us are going to get it. Dating wise already I have seen so many of the pitfalls that they analyze and report are issues. I totally wish I could have a session with Michele Weiner-Davis and Dr Esther P and Dr Gray. I think there are some missing parts of their analysis but they are minor. I wish I had known all of this before I got married. I might have avoided the pain my children and I am going through. And just so you know I am a man. As a man there are things I did not know about women. And I also now know there things women just did not know about men. But this is too general. Dr Gray says if I am this self aware I might have other problems. Sigh my journey continues. Therapists please contact me lol.

Curious I can only agree that both genders do not understand each other due to our western upbringing But when you are living with a narcissistic person whether you are a woman or a man you have to save what is to be saved . Counseling is not even an option . Take care

@@marinettecachin5931 thank you sorry got missed in the junk mail. i am not sure of the answer myself. i am not an expert. but some things my ex is experiencing is not working out. and 1 of the children no longer wants to be with her and wants to be with me citing my nagging and rules as very good for him. i am not qualified the counselling not being an option is correct. my therapist(S) say that it depends. thank you
