Btw, the Lycan wasn't one of our Black Friday dodgy deals, it was actually a Halloween special event where you could complete some ops to earn a tank for free and you got to choose between the Lycan T71, the Kaiju & Kraft's Panther. Or you could buy it with your hard earned cash :D The Lycan is identical to the T71 but looks badass, we've got a cpl replays of it on our channel. Our black Friday deals were similar to your own but on a grander scale, there were a whole bunch of black reskinned premium tanks, all of which had much higher crew XP multipliers than normal, and cost a lot. You could buy a bundle with all of them in for something like £150....People got mad, WG said they mucked up, a familiar story for us all I'm sure!

Chronics Au there are some things on console that i am jealous of like the automatic tank over turning after what is it 10s or 20s? thats a really nice feature same with the german vehicles keeping the 870hp engine and the 1200hp engines which pc lost a long time ago. plus console just seems like an overall more fun less serious game than pc. like console gets some awesome event tanks like the halloween kv5, krafts panther, tiger 131, tiger hammer etc on the other hand at least we dont have disgusting looking tanks like the cromwell knight which is an assault to your eyes. plus they have the missions to get pren tanks free ao yeah console has some great things but im a pc player in at tier 7 in pretty much every line in the game with i think 11 tier 10s unlocked so im not switching over.

Death Eagle From Hell/canada ball you cant. if you are pointing your camera at an enemy and your turret is facing the opposite direction, zooming will snap your camera backwards to what your gun is pointing at. This also means that you need to reaim each shot after exiting zoom, since the camera pulling back out of your zoom view changes what you are aiming at.

The reason why we don't have better graphics isn't just that people have potato PCs. WG doesn't give a shit about optimization, I have an i5 6600k, GTX 1070 and 16GB of RAM and run the game at around 120FPS at 1080p Max Settings. Ofc this way more than good, but here is the thing: My PC runs Battlefield 1 with about the same amount of FPS and BF1 is one of the best looking games right now, while WoT is just looking ok. If WG would finally upgrade to an engine that is not from 2002 and start optimising the game instead of putting in some OP premium tanks, we could have good graphics and people with bad PCs would still be able to play the game.

its the ui; wot uses flash for its ui which probably leads to you getting cpu bottlenecked at 120 fps since the game is using a single cpu thread, instead of more parallelized (read: faster) gpu processing, to try to draw every ui element sequentially in each frame. This is a fundamentally flawed approach as it creates an upper bound for fps based on the complexity of your ui elements and the clock speed of your cpu. Meanwhile your gpu sits there with its dick in its hand wishing it could do something. fuck flash fuck adobe

(And yes, I'm aware that the game as it stands does not require that, but that's what people are constantly bitching and moaning to get: a game that looks prettier overall.) Besides, if Wargaming did implement higher quality graphics in their games, and just allow people to turn them on or off, that would actually give the people who play on lower settings an advantage: Mr Graphics Hog drives up to a bush and starts spotting, but Mr Games-The-System has his graphics setting set to minimum despite having just as much processing power as Mr Graphics Hog. For him, that bush isn't there and he spots the camping tank and annihilates him.

I never thought I'd be this livid, looking at a console replay. How, I ask, does WG manage to make the console version of this game more appealing than the one for PC? I mean, look at that lighting! yep this is probably why WG isn't putting the Chieftain in the game yet, there is no way they could nerf this tank no matter how players whine against it.the armor, speed, gun handling are based on the real thing so its ridiculous to say to nerf the tank just so they could put this on the PC. the only thing WG can do to please the whiners is to simulate the terrible and unreliable engine of the Chieftain.

Pretty sure Jingles was wrong there since it doesn't appear to have the Stillbrew package, so the turret armour would be good but no better than say, the IS-4, T110E5, IS-7, Kranvagn. Plus IRL it was much slower than they seem to have it in game (11hp/t which is on the low end for heavy tanks)

the hesh on the chieftain isn't a premium shell ... its actually 950 silver compared to the standard ammunition which is 1,050 silver ... also standard ammunition is "AP Composite-Rigid APDS L15A4" (penetration:203-338mm/damage:300-500) and the gold shells are "AP Composite-Rigid APDS L15A4 DU" (penetration:233-388mm/Damage:300-500) which costs 4,800 silver or 12 gold and the hesh shells are "High-Explosive HESH L31" (penetration:105-175mm/Damage:386-644)

Yep, they could do an HD client and an SD client...oh wait, they do that already. Here's the thing, I think a lot of ppl who are into PC gaming over estimates just how good the average household machine actually is. I've worked for Sony and Curry's. By far most popular choice for home PC is a laptop. Average value of a laptop purchased in the UK is around £349-£399. Even the SD client is going to struggle to run on a laptop of that value and that's just in the UK. Not Eastern Europe. There is also a limit to how broad they can make the different graphical settings and options in the clients. Look at Gaijin with WT. They tryed and ended up creating expliots in their game and still could never get WT to run on potato machines. For WG to achieve it they would have to have the SD and HD clients be so different to each other they would end up being 2 seperate products with 2 seperate teams working on them. I'm quite sure they could do it but who's going to pay for it? It's like anything else in business. Increased cost in production gets passed on to the customer because they need their margin of profit to keep it going. The other way to look at it is WG have shown they are good at business(most of the time) If they thought there was profit in it they would have done it already.

PC is running on a very old graphic engine which cant support warthunder/console like quality with out fps lag.. if you saw the video for the new graphics.. that's with the new engine which is coming out for pc in late 2017 early 2018. Just takes a lot of time to rewrite code into a new engine it's not just copy/paste

Hey Jingles as a proud World of Tanks console peasant and owner of the Chieftain I'd love to answer a couple of your questions. 1. I love your videos (also I'm loving the increased console videos) keep the great content coming! 2. The accuracy of the Chieftain is 0.32 3. The Chieftain gets a rather unusual ammo load-out, what you saw in the video is not a glitch. It carries 3 types of ammo (APDS, premium APDS, and HESH). The APDS acts the same as APCR it just has a different name in the supplies menu. The penetration on the standard APDS ammo is 270, the penetration on the premium APDS is 310, and the penetration on the HESH is 140. 4. Also as a side-note the Chieftain is really, really good. The only bad things about it are its somewhat low HP, low-ish premium penetration, its weak ammo rack, and its 390m view range. Hope my comment was helpful!

This map has WW1 trenches around the D-6 area. We had a WW1 Mark 1 battle for the 100th anniversary of the mark 1 (last year) The map was just the trench area around D-6Some of the Console maps actually have less vegetation like the Malinokva Map, the hill on the east side of the lake for the southern spawn. we also still have discontinued maps like Port, and Hidden village.

If you think about it, the Conqueror has the same turret as the FV215B as well as the gun, and it's in HD. And the 215B 183 has the same hull and is also in HD. In other words, they have all the parts required to put the FV215B into HD and yet refuse to do so. I don't know why.

I was in the Canadian Army working with the Armour Branch when they were replacing the Centurions, I was hoping they would get the Chieftain and not the Leopard 1s, but they were a different direction with the Leopard, still both good takes, but Chieftain seemed like a Rolls-Royce to a Morris Oxford (my first car at age 16 in Canada) to the Centurion. Those Centurions were sold to the Israeli Army, but that another story, but I loved driving in the Centurion and got to sit in a Chieftain once in a Reforger Exercise in Germany once, what a "woody" I had....LOL :)

@jingles, the middle APCR shells were the premium shells, the hesh were just expensive HE shells with higher pen. their are only a few tanks like the deathstar where they have premium hesh, most of the hesh just replaces the HE shells on xbox in my admittedly dated experience

Jingles, in case you were wondering, to get an ace in this it's usually around 1900+ base xp in a tier ten and to get the three marks you have to be averaging above 7000 damage combined. oh and the turret isn't actually impenetrable like some would believe. it's around 260 effective unless they're using all 10 degrees of gun depression, and even then it's around 310, which can still be easily penned by tier ten premium rounds. they're very good machines but they're not this impenetrable monstrosity everyone seems to believe.

The Lycan was a premium tank based on the American T71 light tank. It was a special for Halloween 2016 and was joined by the Revenant Kraft's Panther (the Panther from the WoT comic), the Kaiju O-I, and the Gorynych KV-5. WG had an event that allowed you to earn one of these tanks (except the KV-5, which was exclusive to a store bundle). I know that the console version does have some better eye candy than the PC version, but I'd still rather play the PC version due to the better keyboard/mouse precision. Too bad my Mac won't run it right.

You have to get about 2100 base xp to ace the Chieftain Mk.6. Also the armor isn't as good as you might think. Yes the upper plate is mostly an autobounce area and yes the turret is strong, but that lower plate is filled with ammo racks. There's a few turret weak spots as well. The Chieftain only becomes near invincible when hull down using it's max gun depression.

Didnt read all the comments, but just wanted to say, we were able to get the lycan for free. By completing some ops, we could choose between the kraft panther, kaiju (O-I), or the lycan. I wouldnt get too jealous though. PC version has a lot of tanks not available to console.

I mean, I know you know this Jingles, but it's the best medium there is and the fastest heavy there is because the Chieftain is a 1966 tank that was probably the best in the Western world save for its reliability issues. Sloped composite armor, 750hp engine, 55 tons, you get a good power to weight ratio, great armor profile with a 120mm cannon meant to definitely defeat the T-55. We may as well have T-64s in game. When we play with this tank we're introducing a completely new ball game.

Also, the Lycan was one of a few tanks you could use in the Halloween event back in October. There was the Spectral and Kaiju too. If memory serves, the Kaiju was a KV-2 that was equipped with a flamethrower.

You're close. The Kaiju was a Japanese OI heavy tank. It fired lightning as its primary fire mode, and had a flamethrower as a secondary fire (triggered by changing ammo types). There was also the Gorynych KV-5, which lobbed indirect fireballs, had a flamethrower, and would regenerate at a rate of 5 hit points per second.
