Did Jingles really say there used to be a time you could watch the History Channel😄? I mean, you *could*, but it was honestly quite impressive how much they got wrong. Which is what happens when you base your information on books written by veterans with dollar signs in their eyes. To this day you still see new documentaries talking about things like "blitzkrieg on meth" and other similar bs. The History Channel warped the view of many milhis lovers for years. It wasn't until very recently with the emergence of amateur KZbin historians, that the misconceptions have slowly started being corrected. Whenever money is involved, as in a documentary is bought by a channel. There is the danger of haphazard research. When it's your job instead a hobby you love, it's easy to get lazy. Or sometimes you might have a deadline. It's fortunately getting better, but a streaming service is a business foremost. You still get the same misinformation so it's good to keep that in mind.

As a native of the Asian server (Aus), when jingles says "Its the Asia server" I immediately hear it as "the bogans are back at it again". They just left dans at 12 loaded up their ute with no less than 2 slabs of beer and we are watching a replay that took place at about 5pm after they have just shovelled half a dozen stubbies in the last 30 minutes. The resulting liquid courage has them in a mood of pure fight or flight and bogans are not well known in fighting well...... nor their sense of direction (personally can attest to the lack of sense of direction). We can see that polymorphine probably subscribes to the 5 o'clock routine as he is able to think and breathe.

I have been onboard HMAS Vampire (D 11) many times when I have gone to the Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour. She holds the distinction of largest museum-owned object on display in Australia, and no matter how many times I see her I always smile. She was in service for just over 27 years, from June 23rd 1959 to August 13th 1986, being commissioned one day after completion. She was awarded the Gloucester Cup (the common name for a series of 3 awards given to the three branches of the ADF, with one going to the most proficient ship, infantry battalion, and squadron in the RAN, AA and RAAF respectively) 3 times in 1960, 1961 and 1963. On her voyage back to Australia in late August and early September in 1967, she made port visits in Indonesia, the first RAN ship to do so after the end of the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation a year prior. She was the first Daring-class destroyer to be assigned to the ANZUK force when she was deployed to Singapore for 4 months in October 1972. Vampire, along with HMA Ships Hobart (Perth-class guided missile destroyer, pennant number D 39), Stuart (River-class destroyer escort, pennant number F21/DE 48) and Supply (Tide-class replenishment oiler, pennant number AO 195) were the RAN representatives for the United States Bicentennial in 1976. She was assigned the destroyer escort for HMY (His Majesty’s Yacht) Britannia when Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visited Australia in March 1977, during the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Tour, meeting Britannia on the 11th and accompanying the royal yacht to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle. On September 5th, Vampire left Sydney as part of RAN’s contribution to Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee. After being converted to a training ship and joining the training squadron in 1980, Vampire and HMAS Jervis Bay (Roll on/Roll off passenger ferry, pennant number GT 203) were both ordered to the Solomon Islands on May 13 to observe the splashdown of China’s first ICBM test firing, which landed north-west of Fiji and was observed by both HMA Ships as well as 18 warships from the People’s Liberation Army Navy. During her service, Vampire travelled 808,026 nautical miles (1,496,464km), and was presented to the Maritime Museum for preservation as a museum ship on loan from 1990-1997, then transferred outright later in 1997. In 1991, Vampire appeared in children’s television program The Girl From Tomorrow Part II: Tomorrow’s End. Vampire is also used for training RAN divers in hull clearance. On April 9th, 1997, permission was granted for Vampire to fly the Australian White Ensign, despite not being a commission warship. Vampire is towed to HMAS Kuttabul (RAN base located in Potts Point, Sydney, NSW, Australia), every 5 years for maintenance and cleaning. During a docking in October 2006, rumours spread among RAN personnel that Vampire would be retrofitted and recommissioned back to active service, unfortunately during said refit, a fire broke out in the ship’s boiler room which thankfully injured nobody and cause no irreparable damage. An overhaul of the RAN battle honours system completed in March 2009 saw Vampire retroactively honoured for her service in the Strategic Reserve between 1964 and 1966-the time of the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation. Any future ships named HMAS Vampire will carry the battle honour "Malaysia 1964-66" in addition to the honours earned by the previous HMAS Vampire, of which she inherited 6 from the battle honours overhaul. In November 2015, Vampire was moved to the new Warships Pavilion 'Action Stations' at the Australian National Maritime Museum alongside HMAS Onslow (Oberon-class submarine, pennant number SS 60/SSG 60) and HMAS Advance (Attack-class patrol boat, pennant number P 83). In January 2023, Vampire moved to Cockatoo Island Dockyard to begin repairs to her hull and various other components, costing about $3M. As of April 2023, Vampire's radio room hosts an active Amateur Radio station, operated by a group of local Amateurs. The station operates under the radio call sign VK2VMP. The motto of HMAS Vampire was _Audamus_ , which translates from Latin as “Let Us Be Daring”, and she was given 4 nicknames: The Bat Mobile, The Bat, Batty and The Mean Machine. Anyone wishing to visit Sydney should absolutely visit the Maritime Museum, you won’t be disappointed.

That enemy Delaware, never seen it using the guns, and probably just lurking around those islands the whole game near the tier11 CV, pretty common with hybrid ship players barely to never use the guns.
@genericpersonx333 Жыл бұрын
Amusingly, Wargaming claims they have to give the CVs special mechanics to keep them simple enough to use, like automatic fire-extinguishing. Then they introduce a ship type that is thrice as complicated to use, as you are now splitting your attention between guns, steering, and planes, and claim it is totally manageable. Has some of the CV easy-mode mechanics, but if you want to actually use the ship as a battleship and carrier, you better be quick at switching gears. I can see why people people just treat them as well-armored CVs that can get into gun fights if things go wrong.

I'm on the Asia server if it's hybrid and you can't see it shooting it probly didn't carriers look like any spotting accidental? About right someone asking for help? Metatron's whole channel just got demonetized, and numerous other channels are at the mercy of KZbin's purposefully vague, arbitrary or just plain asinine rules and appeal system.

Regarding Polymorphine's "big fuckup," I have to admit that I've fucked up worse before in DDs. This included forgetting that my detection radius in the Forrest Sherman is 6.4 km in a Ranked battle and getting my ass sent back to port as a result. And it's hard to argue that Poly could have used his guns more because half the time he was the only one spotting the enemy team. It would have been very unlikely that those targets would have remained spotted if he'd smoked up and started pewpewing.
