I've found that the people who are loud in chat telling people how they should play are usually the ones who are worst at the game. I find the ones who 'well done' their allies when they die or 'provide cover for _____' people who aren't facehugging the enemy. It really is World of Warpricks.

I had a hilarious match the other night in my Golden Lion where I faced off across a cap with another Golden Lion and we were launching squadrons at each other. The main difference was that I was full AA specced and he wasnt so I was nuking his flights before they could drop. Ended up airstriking him to death and he wasnt a very happy person in chat lol.

I had the purest stat jockey the other day. The match starts I gave out a quick plan. He goes don’t worry we are not going to listen to a 40%er. This means he looks at everyone’s stats right away. Well he died we won and I placed 2nd. Not bad for a 40%er. I’m 48% now finally got it to go up a little nearly 5000 hours in game.

A lot of these fools (stat jockeys) reroll their accounts after they learn the game, and operate in the same echo chamber as other stat jockeys. They cannot comprehend folks like you or I that learned the game and moved the Winrate needle while keeping all those “learning process” games in their stats. 48% to 50% is insanely hard, but I was able to do that after about 5k hours in game as well.

Younger players are discovering the game, they last about 1200-3k games then bounce. Also they may be coming from games that allow much more toxicity. I have found screenshotting then submitting tickets to WG is quite effective in reducing these outbursts.

To be fair, no ship has good AA, we had 3 t9 cruisers with DFAA that couldn't stop a t8 CV strike. Not only can they do damage with impunity, there really isn't anything you can do to defend it except the bs "just dodge" garbage. So if a CV targets you, unless you get lucky to just have to deal with taking depending on the CV an absurd amount of damage. CVs are bad for this game. DFAA should be a no fly zone, not, " meh guess I'm going to loose 1 or 2 more planes."

When you spoke of clumping up on one side of the map and hiding, that's the sort of game I hate getting, usually because I'm the poor sucker who spawned on the other side of the map. So I either end up getting killed trying to get over there, or I get killed while trying to at least occupy the enemy so my team can take the caps on that side... which they don't. (sigh)

Funny how the player who says, "go back to coop" is the one who plays like he needs to go back to coop 😂 He didn't really do anything but throw his ship away. And this is why randoms are just that. Randomly throw a bunch of players into match making. Just sort by ship power but not player actual play style and see the chaos unfold. Unfortunately my stats scream that I'm, majority of the time, on the side of the players who throw the game, do not communicate, ridicule and shame players for what unfolds negatively. But when a team is victorious... No one bats a eye... Because after a match, the chat goes away and you move on to the next match. This game is designed and working as intended. WG will never change it until the players STOP spending money... Hence the comming tier 10 dockyard with a free West Virginia 44 (of you grind it and spend very minimal or zero dollars id you already have the WV44).

It's been a hot minute since it happened so I don't remember all the details but it ended up being a situation where my team played out well and we got the win. I encountered worse than this. A combination ofnthis behaviour and the stats bloke. Literally just spawn in a Tier 10 game and just right after the ONE MINUTE MARK, our friendly Yamato started trashtalking our friendlyShima cuz apparently he has below 43% winrate and that is his only Tier 10 ship and the res of his used ships are below tier 5. So you mean to tell me, in ONE MINUTE, he stalked out friendly Shima's accs/statss and once he found out hes a "noob" he basically started trashtalking the entire game, and whats worse, we lose that match but not because of the "noob" DD but because our friendly Yamato (guys who kept trashtalking) cailnt aim to save his life. He died and blame the shima for being noob even though he was alive by the end of the match and getting 4 kills.

Those poor captains that are always stuck with "bad" players. Every single match, how does it happen to them? Thankfully they usually die early enough that they can just hang out in chat and tell everyone else what they are doing wrong, if only other people playing the game would just listen. I had to admit that I once did that, it was with the monarch, and the Malta and yami died in five minutes, or seven, I forgot, some where around that, and well, I'd regret it, doing damage at least earn you credits and exp, leaving early would just make it a credit loss, so really, I suggest not leaving before you die from the inescapable death, at least you won't loose credits, or lessen the lost of it(really, that minotaur, it is very expensive to get a t10 out in the game, and he just left with that, if he didn't suicide but they still looses, at least he would lost too much credits, So what's the moral of the story? Don't suicide, not for your team, but for your economy.

This cannot be repeated often enough. CVs are completely broken in this game to the point that they are breaking the game. I will correct you on one point: the CV does not even have to pick you as his target. He merely needs to bumble his way into passively spotting you and drop fighters. Passive spotting is the biggest issue with CVs, at the top of a long list of easily fixable issues caused by WG insisting on catering to CVs.

I dont play CVs much and I'm about to reach 1 year playing the game and I have a question. Why does he keep dropping attack runs right after he launches planes? I've seen this behaviour being done by CVs in my current tier and cant figure out why.

I give a big sigh when I see a CV or sub in my game. Had a game where the CV player pushed into the center cap mid game and actually demanded that I attack the threatening enemy CL next to cap behind adjacent island. Well, no, my BB continued to fire across the map and I turned off my secondaries. and sailed off. Once CV was disposed off, I sank the CL. For subs, long range 16" or 18" shells work fine from a distance. Sold my CV's after the rework and haven't played them or subs since. They have no place in what was once a fine surface battle game.

Would have been better to leave the emotions out of it and make the smartest strategic play. Can’t fix toxicity with toxicity. But I bet it was quite satisfying nonetheless! 100% agree this used to be the best naval surface war game literally ever (visually).

I have encountered this bozo, same thing happened he got smoked a few min in and was goin off on everyone else we were winning and did win. He was 2nd from the bottom on the scoreboard. Now you may call this a bit toxic but I messaged him something to the effect of "Hey Pea Brain we won, not only did we win we were when you went bananas and got yourself sunk btw bottom of the scoreboard so... ya score don't lie kid"

I might have been lucky because I have never had any experience with a toxic player, I'm a new player with tier 7 max. Do you guys think the player's toxicity depends on the server or the tier level?

Higher the tier, the worse people get in my experience. I've been playing since closed beta. People abuse the report system, spam emotes and toxic messages. Luckily I'm on the Asia server, so half the messages are in Chinese and don't show up in the chatbox.

Tier 7 and below are usually free to play players like me - higher tier are usually spoiled kids who got premiums, or paid free exp for progression.

Like a T3 I did. Won but constant potato comments. Why. Well, I was defending cap, but didn't rundown a DD. And we all know running down a DD in a BB a bad idea.
