I never understood why WG nerfed the Richthofen the way they did, because right now nobody is happy with it. A CC tested it after the latest "buffs" a couple patches ago and the dive bombs still can't hit a stationary GK consistently. Not even cit, hit consistently. So CV players have 0 reason to play it, because all other CVs are more busted, easier to use, and more consistent. All surface ship players hate it because it's still a carrier with all the annoying and overpowered traits that come with that. + If you actually get nuked by the Richthofen bombs, it wasn't because you made a mistake or the CV player was especially good. It was just bad RNG on your end and that grinds my gears way more than having a good carrier punishing you because you are favorably positioned for him to strike you. They could have just kept the accuracy or tweaked that only a little and just kept working on the stupendous alpha damage, untill the avergage damage per battle aligns with the other carriers. Sometimes it feels like they're not taking the most easy and obvious route on purpose just so they don't need to admit the playerbase is right on something.

That last part, you are correct. These new changes to cvs, the player base wanted minimap spotting only for cvs, so when WG started changing cvs, they announced very complicated changes instead of listening to the players

Most people (except potatoes really) would be happy with god tier accuracy but trading a bunch of damage for it. People can try to dodge, CVs can actually hit if they're good, no lucky hits just destroying the ship from pure RNG.

One thing I still really miss is the Saipan with Air Superiority manual control of fioghters where you coudl directly fight the enemy CV planes.

I hate Saipan. I got it in a container. Hated it. Loathed it. Despised it. When they did that trade in event I traded it for Tirpitz. Best thing I ever did in WoWS.

That's because RTS CV's offered way better player interaction, it forced team cohesion and rewarded CV's who actually knew what they were doing instead of giving the animals guaranteed first strikes. I know I know.. but but but but cross drops cross drops ... yeah, sucked when playing my Shima, she long and don't turn ... still got over 60% wr in it because 95% of cv players couldn't execute a proper cross drop if their lives depended on it. And whaa whaa whaa my babyboat got sunk in the first minutes whaa whaa whaa -> maybe stick with a cruiser with dfaa instead of running off alone.

Something else is the machine guns for the rockets, now it fires at a higher angle so you get way more bounces on the deck and belt

WG always keeps "overdoing"buffs/ nervs. They never find a balance...take subs,for example . I remember rounds back the, where i literally "hid"from that cv, because which a good captain and player,was an absolute pain in the a$$ to deal with... Nowadays they barley seen.. They ether buff it so everybody an their mom plays it,or nerve it and almost nobody does

I didn't play Richthofen escpecially but when I grinded german CV line I noticed I have bigger WR vs other tree line CVs of mine although I dealt less damage per match. I think its due to slower planes (dive bombers and torpedo bombers squadrons), able way better spot DDs with small air concealment. Mainly dive bombers are pretty good at it. But its true your AP squadrons is inconsistent damage source on them probably similar to other classes. Anyway you did (no surprise) really well it this match. Maybe that CV nerf made me avoid playing CVs at all (mainly formerly busted direct hitting rockets and bombs drop one left another right and even somehow diagonally to your flight).

I personally never had an issue with Richthofen, like sure her AP hurt, but at the time of her release is when the game had become super passive and also was the time when Dead-Eye was common. Thunderer was also still running wild on the meta, meaning sure MVR could hit you for 25k every minute or two while slowly running out of the ability to deal that damage to you, but Thunderer was chunking you for 10-15k every ~23 seconds as well as lighting multiple fires, and until it was dead Thunderer would basically never lose damage output except to damage saturation. MVR felt fair in comparison to Dead-Eye Thunderer. Gotta say, not watched you before, so it's wild to me seeing a content creator actually playing CVs, and not just calling them overpowered while admitting they never play them. It's a nice change of pace.

I don’t play CVs as much as I did before but I played the German line even less so, because of all the quirky bomb dropping angles drives me nuts. I wish wargaming would give players the choice of taking HE or AP when they go out on a bombing run.

Basic WG activity. Bring out an OP ship, everyone spends coal, doubloons, free XP, cash to get it. Next people complain massively and over 2-3 updates it's nerved and nerved till it is acceptable. Owners of the ship complain and WG shrugs that off by saying the community asked for it (which is right and also mega predictable bring out an OP ship). WG wins, people spend their resources/money and in the end it's an ok or average ship (on which there would never be such a spending run to get it).

That's one of the reasons I have mixed feelings when WG introduces a historic legendary ship. Yes, I'm probably going to spend the dubs or resources to get it, but if they've tried to make it sort of live up to the actual ship when it's released, WG will nerf it after all the complaints about it being OP, if they don't remove it entirely. (*cough* Enterprise) So in the end you end up with a "standard" tier ship and wondering why you spent all that money to get it.

Something that's infuriating with _any_ CV is when your bombs miss despite the reticle being fully over the ship.

That same thing can be said with BB's as well when you have a broadsided target 6km away, you aim perfectly and your shells land everywhere but on the target.

@@junkiexl86 At least with BBs the game doesn't pretend to have a dispersion ellipse where your shells will land. If they had one, people would never play Italian BBs again since they'd see the ellipse taking over the whole screen.

There is also the issue concerning CVs which will still be strong, or get even stronger due to the single flight system. IE: American support CV rocket and glide bombers. But more importantly, Soviet CVs. Their squadrons are all single massive attacks. This right here is an issue I'd like to see Sealord address.

THe IJN Carrier was way more broken. THe testers were telling them and they weren't listening, so one of them sent them a replay and they did over 500k HP. THey now only have 2 planes in attack run adn they have 1 torp. FDR was also way more broken. Getting 25K per attack was about average and the planes were tanky. Now hanging out in the AA for 25 seconds is a bit much.
