So far that i'll just resort to playing her as an oversized Russian cruiser staying back and lobbing HE at BBs because i know that my pewpews can't hurt a BB at long range, and if i push, i'll just burned down to death w/o support anyway. What's your Scharnhorst build? How do you play her?

@@imtiredtiredtired Play to your strengths. If you're playing down tier or in your tier follow the cruisers. You're a battleship with cruiser guns, cruiser speed and torpedoes. Go hunt cruisers and run from long range BBs. If a BB decides to close with you kite him and burn him with HE. If the BB gets close enough pound him with your rapid fire 12 inch guns use AP on their broadside and finish him with Torpedoes. If you are playing up tier find a top tier BB with good AA and stick close to him. Support him shoot what he shoots. Burn them with HE and try not to get focus fired. You fire faster so there is a good chance you'll pick up a kill if they are low health. If something gets close to your BB, destroy them you can overpower uptier cruisers easily at any range and battleships at close range with torpedoes and your fast firing guns.

Have both Georgia and Alaska and absolutely love both of them (running a specialized build in Alaska and my standard Monty/NC survivability build captains in Georgia), don’t regret getting either of them. Personally I definitely prefer Georgia over JB but both are good ships depending on what you like to play (although I feel JB struggles more since her smaller caliber means she _has_ to be on broadsides and the guns are _much_ more shotgunny than Georgia). I don’t _regret_ getting JB if only because she’s still a decent ship but I don’t play her nearly as much as Georgia or Alaska and if I had waited a little bit I would have been able to either get Yoshino or Georgia when they released instead of having to build coal back up for Georgia.

I know its your list but honestly. Smolensk? Stalingrad? Also Jean Bart is miles better than the Georgia, Georgia is honestly not even a good ship. It tries to be two things but its bad at both. Also Salem and Des Moines have the exact same guns, same dispersion, same range. The only difference between these two ships is Salem has a better heal, but a worse radar, a different setup on hydro and defensive fire and different AA. But because you can mount the legendary module on the Des Moines its way way better than the Salem, aka Salem is not worth buying, atleast not over Smolensk.

So what you guys think of the ScharnHorst? Don't see it in a lot of top five list. But every time I go up against this beast. I usually end up at the bottom of the ocean. We actually had four ships on one once and lost three before we sink it. That was after we hit it with 4 torpedoes WTF lol. I think it has Torpedoes as well. Because I always seen to have Torpedoes coming at me when at least expect it. I usually can't get within 2 football fields of this thing before I get pummeled into the ground. I think it's a tier 7 ship but I can't be certain. Thoughts? :)

It prolly mostly gets forgotten, but its prolly one of the best t7s you can get. You can brawl, you can snipe and you have the speed to do it all. While your AP is kind of meh against enemy bbs if they are even remotely angled, any cruiser you see will die if you just look at it. As long as you dont derpitz her shes one of the best you can have.

Salem I use Alexander Ovechkin commander with improved heal, turret traverse, and the heal flag. Do the math on what that all means to total HP with heals. I often take well over 100,000 HP damage and live. She recovers 100% fire or flood so let it burn. The reaction when you are at 1/3 health one minute and near full the next is a blast.

Some people complain so hard about that ship and want it nerfed. Honestly I think it's a bit too tanky. I farm every battle 2mio pot. Dmg and still survive every time. I think they should keep it like that or remove it from the armory instead of nerfing. It's still a premium ship no matter how earned. And I needed around 8 months to get the coal for it. And i only got it because I was lucky enough to get 2x15k coal supercontainers on the 4th anniversary event.

@@ezpz_183 he is incorrect. if you factor out the default camouflage on the ships (they offer - 50% repair and +20% credit gain) all the TX special ships have a credit multiplyer moreso than the standard tech tree TX ships. The multiplyer is hidden, but there. Missouri (while TIX) had one so large that WG vowed to never have one so big again. If the ship is for free XP, coal, steel, research bureau points, it has a credit modifier and you can put whatever respective nation's captain on it with no training penalties. They are premium ships.

Get Thunderer first. Long range gun accuracy is really good and you can get them out to over 25km dealing out some real damage. Just don't show too much side to the enemy. Georgia is fun but the guns are poor at long range so aren't worth pushing past their 20km range with upgrades as they rarely hit anything at that distance. The shell spread on Georgia at long distance is sad to say the least, and by the time you get close enough to actually hit other ships you've usually been outgunned by other tier 9 and tier 10 ships.

I have Georgia (no Thunderer yet, if I even get it in the future) and I love it. I’ve actually found the accuracy to be really good even out to max range, and the speed allows you to get out onto a flank and pummel ships or push in/out of an engagement and dictate the terms of engagement against most ships you can face. Her raised citadel is definitely a weakness (and I have been hit pretty hard by lucky shots) but if you play intelligently it’s not as big of an issue. Georgia’s basically a faster Iowa/NC hybrid with better guns and Mass secondaries, so if you enjoy the getting in close and brawling style you may enjoy her. Plus if you have a secondary spec commander for Mass you can stick him right into Georgia and have a great captain, or you can use a more normal survivability build like I am right now. Thunderer also looks like a strong ship, but in my opinion it’s less tanky and more about just staying at mid to long range where you’re not going to get shot at a lot since it doesn’t have Conq’s heal, whereas Georgia can work well at any range and has the standard USN BB heal with the faster cooldown that Mass has.

Of the ones I have: 1. Okhotnik (It's just stupid) Too much fun without breaking the law. 2. Scharnhorst (Just solid) 3. Dunkerque (I love the crap out of this boat. Yea, it's squishy... but the speed at T6.) 4. Admiral Graf Spee (It's a blast to delete cruisers and double torp with the awesome torp angles. Oh, and getting citadels on BBs brings a smile) 5. Murmansk (It is my 1st premium "from a random super-container." I played the heck out of it and love it. Then again, I was sad going from the Omaha to the Cleveland.)

@@rngiscurse Get the JB no question about it for a T9. I was so unsure about it over the Georgia a few months back, But manage to 1v1 Georgia's regularly in her just keep them out of secondary range. The reload booster is so much fun as well. Speed boost to flank enemy team then when they are surprised broadside, That reload booster is just lols. Such a great ship and CV's don't bother you so much with very good AA. The only ship at T9 that gives you the most trouble in the JB is the Musashi. Now my next coal dilemma is either the Thunderer or Smolensk, Both look like crazy fun, Hard choice I don't have any T10 premiums.

Salem shouldn't play too much different from Des Moines, because overextending is the #1 death cause of Salems who think their heal prevents BBs from just overmatching their garbage armour right into the citadel. You can brawl cruisers, kinda, but so can DesMo. But against BBs, you lack the armour and the torps to get much from going close range. And AA-wise, a DesMo/Salem isn't really a better AA platform than your typical T10 BB. Hakuryus with an inkling of skill take it apart. Yoshino doesn't just explode if BBs look at it. It can eat weird cits, but if you angle properly, it usually doesn't get devstruck. Overall, if anyone would ask me for "Must Buy" prems, I'd say "None" though, because some are decent, but none are a "must". Quite the strong word.

As a BB main and while, I love some cruisers, I absolutely enjoy the, Scharnhorst, Kii, Gascogne and the Thunder. In all honesty the Kii has just been a blast. Yeah she is squishy but she has some pretty devastating guns and while the torp angles are terrible, they can be used and they are devastating. Add on top of that her awesome AA she is just fun to play. Not sure why she gets so much hate.

i dont think this ships are top 5 but pretty average (okhotnik is fun no doubt because of 12 torps ). imho smolensk and jean bart are the best out of all u can get atm. atago is good too and thunderer is okish too but salem really is not worth when u have a des moines, dm is better when u have the legendary module and 10 km radar range v 8.5 km at salem and u have to take def aa on salem while a dm can choe hydro which i pretty much prefer when dd hunting. salem is just too nerfed againt the dm and it has practically nothing to compensate for it. yes it has superheal but u will just melt away when u think u can go closer to the enemies than a des moines can, so u have to stay at same positions and same range like a des moines but lack everything good a des moines has.

The Gascogne tries to be a cruiser and can even succeed at that. I found the Gascogne to be such fun that I had to get both of her sisters, the Richelieu and Jean Bart. As the Normandie and the Lyon are both fun ships to play, the grind to the Richelieu was even fun, unlike the grind to the North Carolina. A really fun premium to play is the USS Atlanta.. Because I cannot afford the doubloons to transfer all of the xp accumulated by my Atlanta, it still has 850k of xp sitting in it. Although, it does need a highly skilled commander (I used my Atlanta to grind up a 19 USN Fleet Admiral) to be effective

Ok. Really? No mention of Jean Bart? For real? That thing should be a walking meme. I wreck kremlins all day long with it. And Georgia? It looks good on paper, but from what I ve seen my JB eats them for breakfast. That MBRB is just freaking amazing. And you also get a damn nice secondary and AA suite to go with it. Basically, get up close and you domimate almost anything. Oh, and to put things into perspective, the standard reload of Jean Bart is shorter than the one on Bourgogne, which is a tier 10 steel ship.

I just got the Georgia and she's lot of fun but only if you play her right which is not easy as she's so squishy those bigs guns are very fickle. I've had the Jean Bart for awhile and she's much better ship overall than the Georgia, more consistent and can get you a lot of credits and is still quite unique and a lot of fun. Whilst I love them both the JB is better and what I'd use in a ranked battle.

You'll find good coal ships at tier 9 or 10, so they have to be competitive with tech tree ships at those tiers. Which is why they're so good and deserve to be on the list.
