Honestly imo grinding out Preussen is also soo rewarding, german accuracy though so dispersion isn´t the greatest all the time but when they catch your broadside it´s gonna hurt a lot BUT due to its massive structure etc. it can get farmed down very easy like a Kremlin but otherwise as I mentioned. Very good ship and would recommend it.

It's one of my few tier X's, basically that and the Shimakaze, and absolutely it's a beast. Great at brawling, still has that amazing turtleback armor config, and there's a solid cruiser's-worth of secondary guns on either side of the ship. XD And you know what? The AA isn't all that bad, either! HUGE health pool, as well. It's definitely still an old-school German BB, so it's been power crept on by a lot of newer ships, but I'd be willing to take it in a 1v1 brawl against almost any other boat and feel comfortable with my chances, especially once we've closed range.

Preussen is just rewarding for beginners, the whole line in fact, because of HP advantage and the so called tankyness. But the line is very easy to farm by anyone who knows what are they doing because of their massive superstructure, and turtleback, while you are not taking citadel hits, you are taking a lot of full pen damage.

Preussens firerate is what makes it good imo. You can just blast so many shells into the enemy. Accuracy isn’t the best, but you can still get a 30k salvo on a broadside, or maybe even two. Secondaries just work when they do

Republique has same reload but better guns, better accuracy, better range, better secondary angles and its smaller, faster, more agile aaand it also cant get citadelled although its coated with 32mm and can get overmatch by 460mm it doesnt have stage 5 tumor like superstructure to farm. And honestly just guns being better and ship being smaller alone makes it better.

The first two lines I grinded were the Des Moines and Iowa lines, I recognized those two. Now with the dm and montana, I realize that it was an amazing choice to do those two first. It is two fun lines that really teach the game.

"To grind for" could provide a good series with separate videos of their own: Tech tree Coal Steel Research points Dubs: when not spending IRL money, but grinding and saving up Ships that used to be available would also be interesting to watch be at as part of the main series or a spin off series, too, like musashi ships that used to be FXP, premium ships from events (that may or may not still be avaliable for dubs or etc), and previous dockyard ships that didnt require you to spend IRL money if you already have the dubs that you earned from else where like rank

I started playing last week and have just been grinding the Italian ships it's been alot of fun so far up to T7-8. I think i'm just going to get each class to tier 10 so i always atleast have those ships to choose from before getting into the OP and meta ships so i've noted these 5 ship classes down for after my current grind.

As a new player myself, another big reason I chose the montana/vermont lines because of their AA. It's very satisfying to have a tier 10 carrier give up air striking you after you chew through his first few waves of attack planes with little damage to show for it.

montana is an overall good ship in the game where u can screw up and still able to escape. vermont is hard ship to play but its accuracy is rewarding, but winning and surving chances are low if youre pinned down. BUT Bungo, lets just say Bungo beats both Montana and Vermont in Firing Power, Secondaries, and Tanking ability. Go grind to Bungo and find out yourself !

I had a hard time with Montana when I first got her. As a matter of fact, my win rate still isn't that great in it but my current highest damage was done with it. I enjoy playing Montana and Yamato equally well and I'm going to grind out Bungo and Vermont soon. Also, at 19:45 don't be that guy in chat, people... I'm sorry you're having a bad game, but not everyone can play the game the way you want them to.

While there are many worthy lines, any new player should start with the Americans. The US Navy ships in general are excellent to get to grips with the game's essential mechanics. The battleships, destroyers and cruisers perform really well in their roles. They usually don't exceed in anything particular, and on the whole I wouldn't call them spectacular, but if you can play the Gearing, the Des Moines and the Montana well you can play all other lines successfully. Obviously, most lines have a special gimmick these days that requires some practice to master, but the core of the game is best represented in the US Navy.

i would put St Vincent above any of these. The Kleber is a great ship but you need to be a very good player to get the best out of it, anyone relatively new to the game is going to really struggle in her.

Montana, the Broadside of Death, Throne of the Judge, Bully of Bullys 😅 my favorit BB of all Tech-Tree-BBs…the one to judge them all. I'm a fairly average player, but with the Montana, I've maintained a 70% win rate in Ranked for years.

The NC has another drawback that has to do with her torpedo damage reduction; also due to treaty restrictions. The 'all-or-nothing' design and construction mode the US Navy was doing at the time ment planners were seeing the NC and her sister in a battle line. In game this is reflected in her having ONLY a 19% base torp damage reduction. Screening ships need to keep anything with torpedoes away from her.

With the french gunboats I stopped at Mog and went straight to Marceau, after getting used to the run and gun play style. Mog hits really hard and is blazingly fast, but still maintains the tier 9 economy.

Thanks for the update. I have reset the American BB line, and I found I cannot abide with the Colorado in 2024. I have now sold it (yesrerday), and are hum -ing and hah-ing the lack of speed of the North Carolina. The current plan is now to ignore it and go elsewhere. That is a lot of FreeXP, to find there is no improvement. So I am now looking at other lines, which won't be so frustrating.

st v, mino, daring......................all proper fun ships that encourage you to get stuck in at the front. the grind is good to all of them, although the mino line is iffy in places and you will go bang a lot lol. fed up with the hidey hidey types.

i got cherbourg and brest back during the french cb event. dropped the game for a while, picked it back up recently, and finally grabbed marseille. been loving her so far (even if i'm running a meme-y secondary build) - fantastic guns, love the speed, and so much more usable than brest!

Ok my comment will not really be related with the content of the video, but more of asking for community advice and opinion. Its soon time to get my second coal ship after Agir and my options are: - Napoli (would be my first tier X) - Only reason I dont have tier X yet is bcs I mostly stop grinding after reaching tier VIII which i have a decent amount of - Pommern - have F der Grosse already, but for my first coal ship, the choice was between agir or pommern - Kearsarge - a bit afraid to get this ship before WG implements the CV changes All community advice are appreciated :)

Napoli is very powerful since the captain changes, its is a lot of fun. Pommern is great but since its tier 9 you face superships a lot which is harder to deal with than when you are in napoli

Take Napoli. Later go for Agir (screw Pommern, seriously) or Sherman. All of these 3 ships are great and fun to play. Especially secondary built Napoli, Agir has good secondaries too. And Sherman is just a floating rain of SAP shells, excellent for retaking caps with a company of any ship with hydro/radar.

One thing I hate about the modern game is the temptation to reset a line once you have ground through it.Yes the reward for doing so is pretty good but it often puts you in a position of having to regrind a ship line over and over again even though you may really like a particular ship.

I do it with the German DD line and the Japanese gunship DD line. Simply because this will make their captains even more effective over time and the whole gets more enjoyable :) Most captains of my German DD line are now at least 16 pts, Tier 7 to 10 are already 21pts

i have to say about Bungo, its better to upgrade its Accuracy and increase its secondaries to the max, that means totally ignoring the Reload nor Range upgrade, but at the Captain Skills ; select the secondaries 20% range increament AP + 7% + Reload boost within secondaries range You will get yourself a mixture of American BB gun turning speed, IJN firing power and German BB secondaries firing power and Italian BB tanking ability. Its that good ! You can almost forget other top tier BB ! Bungo is the best !

I disagree with the Marceau/kleber. Yes they are both extremely strong ships. But I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who isn’t decently experienced in gun boat action. They are among the harder DDs to play and require good aim and understanding of bad ballistics, kiting skills and positioning. Now some DDs that I WILL recommend is the Daring and the shimikaze. Both are easy to play easy to understand and are very strong ships. The shima being a very strong torp boat and the daring being a very strong gun boat although it still has decent torps. Very strong but still user friendly and forgiving DDs. As an honorable mention for DDs i would also recommend American DDs being the jack of all trades having great smoke, and awesome torps and still respectable guns. They are also very user friendly ships and strong ships aswell. In short if only recommend the French DDs to experienced DD players. The rest are for anyone.

We have to remember this is Sealord list. I wouldnt recomend grinding orginal US BB line. Its one of those line that is still super powercrept in todays wows. Its almost never played in competetive (the Monty) or clan battles cause its a ship that doesnt bring any strenghts into the battle and is mainly looking for those perfect broadsides from the enemy that if he is paying attention has a lot of time to dodge those shells. Bungo.... a ship whose shells can be called the biggest disapointment of 2023 in wows - high caliber almost no pen, they shatter on most enemy BB belts on range. Yes they punish broadside cruiser when you have the plane running but for most time - like against angled enemies... you want to just shoot HE. Also no mention of British battlecruiser line... thats the staple of all competetive modes and really fun to play in randoms.

Marseille is not a battlecruiser. It is a large cruiser, like Alaska. Battlecruiser letter code is CC, large cruise letter code is CB.

I certainly do. I have had the Yamato for years, it was the second T10 I got at the time of the Kremlin release Yama to me was one of the greatest ships in game. However a couple years later she has been power creeped far to much. Right not I believe I have something like 110k average and a 56% WR in her. Nothing amazing. However when you look at my Bungo I have only done roughly 25 games, my W/R is something like 80% and my average dmg is 170k. I know this will get lower over time however I just find it notably easier to get the Damage out. Her ability to move around the Map makes her far friendlier than Yamato.

Haven’t played Bungo yet but I picked up Yamato after stalling on Izumo for awhile and I was pretty disappointed. I really expected Yamato to hit like a truck but it just doesn’t. I have Georgia and I routinely devstrike everything with her. Yamato just seems weak in comparison.

Would add Colombo in the list. 16 guns with 22 deg firing angles plus forward rotation, exhaust smoke AND god-nuking SAP, all in one ship. You see broadside? Load AP, wait like three seconds and devstrike it to port. You see a smarter guy? Load SAP and blast 30K into oblivion from him. You see Smolensk on your flank? Press that funny button and escape unharmed... Yes, the grind is somewhat painful, but definitely worth it.
