@benjaminbjrklund7433 жыл бұрын
@ i stopped after 3 weeks, then normal program(4x10etc), then go back to 10x10 on the base excercises every fourth week. But yes, cannot keep doing it for to long. But still a great way to shock the muscles! And i go low weight, slow reps on 10x10. Might not be for everybody but definitly recommend it! Did my monthly 10x10 squat today. Good stuff

I had never been able to press more than 90kg; after doing your monster workout for a couple of weeks, I'm now able to press 110kg with my body weighing 80kg. This really freaked out some of my gym bros. But, as the saying goes: envy is the highest form of respect. So thanks a lot for your video!
@brianoh81922 жыл бұрын
Did you have to drop the weight a lot in order to do that amount of sets and reps?
@markusrauscher81782 жыл бұрын
@@brianoh8192 Well, indeed I had; I was used to do some sets of bench pressing from 60kg upwards (pyramid: 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 90kg with a decreasing amount of reps) but was forced to start over with 50kg; however, doing 10 sets à 50kg was a tough workout for some trainings. Now I manage to do 8 sets à 60kg and 2 sets à 65kg before I move on to the incline press. I guess your primary target should be: What's the part of your chest (upper, middle, lower) you want to focus on? Because this is the part you should start with. If you do 10 sets à 15 reps on a flat bench, the weight for the incline press and cable reps will obviously be considerably smaller. I personally focus on the upper chest part at the moment, so I take the weight I can use for 5 sets à 12 reps, which is 2x 25kg. Then I move on to the other sets. Ideally, you do some rotation everytime you train your chest: one time you start with the flat bench, followed by the other exercices. Next time, you start with the incline press etc. since the muscle you train as long you are fresh and full of energy eill get the best result.

Hey Big Guy! Wow! I am impressed!! At age 79 I realized that more of the same old 3 sets of 10 for any body part is not going to shock growth of any body part. So I just nowI completed the "15 sets of flat bench" pressing in home gym I built in Surigao del Sur Philippines. In all my years as police and pilot I never tried this in USA or Canada. I did add one twist to your 15 sets, (hyperprefy) 2 seconds on down pass. Started with 80 Pound bar, at set 5 dropping to 70lbs, 9th set drop to 60 Lbs, 12 set dropped to 55Lbs. At 15th set 9 reps at 55Lbs.

@OVERCOME72 this works great with roides. I got no problem with roides, but for a natural stick to 4 - 5 sets of 6-10 reps incline and standard bench. No more that 20 sets a week.
@mortenlarsen72205 жыл бұрын
@@Jay19384 Studies have shown 10-20 sets per muscle group is the right amount of sets, and for naturals training stimulates muscle protein synthasis which is where we grow. Doing something like 5 or 6 sets 3 times a week does wonders, lets you recover and you should be doing slightly different rep ranges per session with that split. Ofc you will have to work your way up to handling working the chest and EVERY other muscle group several times per week.

@@lucapachee9863 Not only might it cause injury, but you will not get the results that you want. Chasing a pump will give you temporary results. You must lift heavy where you fail within 6-10 reps, and overload your progression every week by 2.5lbs- 5lbs.

I did this workout for the first time three days ago and was wiped out afterward. I am no stranger to lifting but took some time off to focus on cycling, running and body weight workouts. Now I am back and it feels great to see the muscle building and growing. Question: How often would you recommend performing this workout?

Rowe Family wht weights did you use...? I wanna try this in the mornin any advice...? My max bench is 225-230 Lbs and my max Dumbells are 85-90 Lbs... I’m tryin to figure out why weight I should use... I wanna try the 135 and the 60’s, whatcha think...? I’m really tryin to get my Maxx bench to 315 (all natural ofcourse...)
@rowefamily67557 жыл бұрын
If your max bench is 225/230 I would start on 135. That might seem too light, but around the 6th/7th set it'll get hard. By the last set my chest was well worked. I started on 50lb dumbells for inclines and had to drop to 40s. Even then I couldn't manage 12 straight reps. It's been two days since I did the workout and my chest is still VERY sore. I'll definitely be doing it again though. Glutton for punishment. I'll be keen to know how you get on. Cheers.

Ive been following this workout regiment for 4 months now but I added an incline cable fly 5x15 . Chest just gets massacred!! I know its high rep and high set but its worth it. It will take forever if you stand around and stare at the mirrors or if you jaw jack with your boys but if you lock down and drive through it, it shouldnt take no more than an hour to an hour and a half. GO GET IT!!
@johaneriksson15286 жыл бұрын
What is your rest times in between sets? I did this workout with 1:30 minutes rest, but had i bit less wheight than i prob could have to make sure that i would complete the whole workout.
@brianmott83496 жыл бұрын
Johan Eriksson My down time is 1 to 1:30 in between sets. I just listen to my body if you know what I mean. But if I’m feeling it that day I’ll go 30 to 45 secs in between sets. As you know focusing and really squeezing every rep is extremely fatiguing but I stay out of my feels and just get it.

The homie Wes and I just did this workout. Took 1.5 hours. Great pump. Towards the end of 10x15 got into a good groove. He said this was German interval training with just 5 more reps. This is good to do 2x a month. I’ll never get to 275x15 but I’ll also never look that good. Smh. . Just glad we got thru the same shit a pro does. 💪🏾
