Brown butter is one of the greatest things to bake with. The smell is incredible. I’ve used it a few times with great success in cookie recipes. So good.

in the intrest of your safety most flour is a dirty and can carry e.coli and other illnesses, If you do want to eat cookie dough with less worry about foodborne illness bake the flour at 300 F for 10 minutes and omit the eggs

how to make the cookies stay soft after we kept it on container? cause i already recook this recipe but it can't stay longer for the soft texture
@LaylaGrace-pv6ir2 ай бұрын
put a slice of bread in the container and leave it in there for one day, afterwards take out the bread and it should be soft. but if it doesnt work you should get a more airtight container

Why did she put the baking soda, and salt in with wet ingredients? Doesn’t it always say to mix those with dry??🤷🏻♀️
@Ohdeerohman2 ай бұрын
I knew immediately from using both brown and white sugar that this was gonna be good but the comments actually made me want to try this !
@emilyk5718Ай бұрын
what's freaking me out is mixing baking soda in the wet ingredients first, and dumping the dry ingredients in separately instead of mixing all the dry ingredients together first then dumping that in the wet ingredients bowl. This goes against the foundation taught across the world in Baking 101 classes. has anyone made this recipe with the "by the book" method to see the difference?

Honeysuckle’s Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe (makes 8): Melt and carefully brown 8 tbsp high-quality butter, I used Kerrygold brand In a large bowl mix: 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt (kosher) 1/2 tsp baking soda Then once it’s a ribbon-like consistency, add: 1 1/3 cups AP flour 1 cup large chocolate chips Mix well, scoop into round dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with finishing salt if desired. Chill 10 minutes if you’d like and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350º F. Cool and serve

Can I reduce the sugar? By how much
@emmuzboosh2 ай бұрын
It’s a dessert so no lol, sugar free cookie recipes are so bad because you can’t reliably not have a bunch of sugar.
@rosemah4 күн бұрын
You can definitely reduce the sugar! That’s what I do too. I typically add the recommended brown sugar then half the white.
