This looks so good and it might make me break a promise I made to myself years ago to never brown butter ever again. @hellojinnyjinny2 ай бұрын
I also add a tsp of espresso powder! I'll try the molasses!!
@dasse66372 ай бұрын
@wlixiq I make large batches but you can scale down as you like ~Dry ingredients~ •4 1/2 cups flour •2 tsp baking soda •3 tsp salt ~Wet ingredients~ •2 cups worth of brown butter (about 4 and a half sticks) when you brown butter you lose a good portion of the water content •3 cups white sugar •2 1/2 Tbsp of molasses •4 tsp vanilla extract • 4 eggs ~Mix ins~ •2 cups milk chocolate chips •2 Cups dark chocolate chips (Optional) sub out 1 cup of chips for 1 cup of ROASTED walnuts. ~Directions~ • start to brown the butter (this takes the most time so start right away) • mix dry ingredients • add sugar and molasses into bowl and pour in still hot brown butter. The hot butter will caramelize the sugar. Be careful and use a safe bowl to do so. Allow the butter and sugar to cool before adding vanilla and eggs. •Once sugar, eggs, and vanilla are mixed add in the dry mix 1 third at a time. •add in the mix ins and chill in the fridge for at least an hour. •Pre heat the oven to 350° • roll out dough into large balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet. • bake between 13-15 minutes for large sized cookies. (You may need to adjust depending on your prefered size and doneness)

Ingredients: Butter Flour Light brown sugar White sugar or cane sugar Eggs Vanilla Extract Salt Baking Soda Instructions: Add 1/2cup of butter(one stick of butter and soften it) With 1/2 white sugar(or cane sugar) into a bowl With 1cup of light brown sugar and mix until it forms a dough(don’t over mix) Get a separate bowl and crack one egg and pour 1 tsp of vanilla and beat it Pour it in the dough you made and mix it until becomes kind of like your grandpa’s oatmeal Sift into a bowl 1 tsp salt 1 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 a tsp of baking soda and when your done sifting it into a bowl pour your dry ingredients into your dough and mix until it forms a dough Add as much chocolate as you want but I recommend you don’t add too much or you get cookie in your chocolate instead of chocolate in your cookie Freeze in refrigerator for 2 hours or at least 30 minutes When it’s time to take it out of the fridge roll it into balls or use an ice cream scooper to put it on your pan but before putting it on your pan but Tin foil on it or parchment paper so it stays clean and doesn’t stick to the pan Bake 350 Fahrenheit(180 Degrees Celsius) for 10-12 minutes And your done! well, discussing sugar... i think the recipe is nice, but in case, just imagine. you eat a cookie that weights 30g. 14g in it would be sugar. 14g of sugar is just a skull emoji. for example 5g of sugar is a one teaspoon. i drink tea (400ml cup) with 2 teaspoon. just a damned cup of tea in one cookie. but you'll eat them two or three. it will be 42g of sugar, freakin 8 teaspoons. insane sugar bomb, bro

Your recipe is very similar to my mom’s recipes, but what is omitted here is what temperature you cook the cookie dough at in the oven. Room temp, chilled, or semi-chilled, which does make a difference in how the cookie dough spreads as it cooks. Then do you pull out underbaked, and how fast do you cool it? Active cooling or passive cooling?
