shorten lipo wires to dead minimum and loose the plug ends for bullets only (Im wondering if the lipo can work from the charging connector only so the red/bk wires could be nixed completely) lightening holes on the gp mount, cut a few of the prop guard inner legs, ca the inner most touching portion of the prop hoops, no iron fasteners (maybe twist ties in the center boards or hot glue only), you might shave another 10grams by then. Albert, A heads up, the Baby Tooth Frame listed as "alternate" (RDQ) must be slightly smaller wheelbase than the Sanchex Air design as the prop guards are to close to each other and either want to overlap (over/under) or it flexes the frame arm upward which put the motors negative cambered from vertical. Has anyone else noticed this? Or as @Macelius FPV suggests, I could chop off the inside of the guards - solving this problem and saving some weight.

I'm really sorry two bother you but I have two questions left so the first one is that for the amazon build what transmitter do I get and does the motor for it have to be a 6s or a 4s 😅
@ojkolsrud14 жыл бұрын
Very cool! Nice design too! You're putting a lot of mass in the front of the quad though, do you feel that while flying? Does the two front motors become hotter than the back motors? With everything else being so light, I would probably try to mount the GoPro closer to the COG prior to adding it. Also, I gotta say, ReelSteadyGO is *almost* like cheating. I'm sure this quad, even with the damping, vibrates or tosses a little bit when flying, but your footage looks incredibly good and stable.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
The motors don't get hot because the 26g naked GoPro is not putting any kind of load on those motors. The motors have way too much power for the weight. It's slightly unbalanced but nothing the FC can't handle and you don't feel it at all in flight. I'll post links to raw footage that has not been processed through ReelSteadyGo. You'll be surprised how smooth this flies.

Because the 2.5 inch props have to spin faster to carry the same weight, they make more noise so I gave up on that idea a while back. Nice job Albert, I like the approach. I was pretty close when I suggested in the previous video comments that it might be the crazybee crux3 with some prop guards ✌️. No seriously, I still dont get how the different constructors in the hobby always tend to forget how much benefits we can get from designing ultralight builds, and go the opposite way. At some point I even wondered if it wasn't a strategic marketing decision to design heavier setups so that they can generate higher margins from more expensive embedded components and lipos.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
The reason is because there is constant pressure from much of the FPV community to make drones "indestructible". They must survive hundreds of crashes or they should not exist. I'm one of the few people who don't subscribe to this dogmatic propaganda. Fly what you want to fly. Screw everyone else.
@flylow34574 жыл бұрын
@@AlbertKimTV you're probably right, it's a good reason, however I do wonder if this supposed big pressure for extreme durability isn't much exagerated by the brands. If we look at the recent huge success of the flywoo explorer lr, for me it really shows that people interested into very lightweight efficient setups (at the compromise of less durability) isn't a niche market at all. Do you know if some of the hobby brands are planning to release a bnf ultralight cinewhoop like yours anytime soon? I think happymodel for example already has most of the components needed to do this pretty quickly.

Wish to see a 4s on a build like this, perhaps will build one 😅 wouldn't probably be as quiet..

If it's heavier, it will make more noise. If you want to go 4S, just go with a lower KV motor like 3600kv or so.

@@AlbertKimTV I really appreciate your reply man... Will test it out, but looks like that 2s is a sweet spot for a quiet quad... I'm super impressed with this build you've done..
