It works two ways. The Ginetta has no driver aids what so ever and people would have easily spun out other cars on that.

Very nice RWD car that Ginetta G40, small and light, just for the pleasure of drifting but not cheap at all considering the engine. With a 3 liter engine would be what every car should be, a muscle sports car.

i am romanian and when i tell you that in romanian "ci" or "ce" is pronounced chi or che, don't tell me i'm wrong about my native language. the same applies to "gi" or "ge". it's the same as in italian. if you want a "k" sound next to the i, then you have to write "chi" (i know it doesn't make much sense but that's how it is). and the "a" is always aa, like in father, not like in ace.

You have no idea how much you're missing the point. This isn't consumer advice, they're not trying to tell you which car is the wiser purchase. Obviously. They're trying to illustrate the difference AWD makes in low-grip conditions. And, what they've shown is that even in slippery conditions, chassis dynamics trump drive type, which is important because a lot of people put their sports cars in the garage in the winter.

Comparring these two cars is like comparing your show with Top Gear. Does it feels right for you? You can not compare these two cars. Probabily each is good for it's purpose. Why you don't say about MPG? How much does Gineeta burned and how much the Duster? How much is service maintenance for Duster and how much for the other toy? Finally (thinking like you did) I am cuious about the results of a frontal impact between them. What would you say? Cheers!

This would have been a better test if it was a Ginetta G40R vs WRX/Evo. They want to compare RWD and AWD in the wet, but the RWD has 2x the power. If an AWD car had more power, then it would be a better test between RWD low power/lower weight, vs AWD with higher power/heavier.

L.M.A.O. The comment section is even more fun than the actual video! And speaking of the test: you'd expect a fast track car (equipped with those tires) to loose the Duster in uh... dust. But it didn't happen, the Dacia was just there everytime that lady was looking in the mirror. Soo, now anyone can afford a cheap SUV that can go on mild off-road tracks and is also able to keep up the pace on the highway. Plus, it's got enough space for husband, wife, kids... and that damn dog.

well it shows just how bad the Duster's awd system is. A car that is more than twice as powerful, no driver aids and rear wheel drive has more grip (it was mentioned and can be seen the Duster was quite loose). Does raise questions whether awd always does bring benefits when you have the choice for a particular model.

The Romanians are complaining about how we pronounce Dacia. It should be pronounced Day-ci-a in English speaking countries, and not Dat-chi-a which is how they pronounce it. To be honest I'd love to hear how they pronounce BMW 5 Series in their language!

Try duster vs mercedes-amg w11 formula 1 off road to see that duster is the king of off road 😂 People don’t seem to understand that an average machine especially built for a purpose can be better than a top class machine built for another purpose Ginetta is one of the best racecars in its class. I seem to remember everyone being able to afford cheap SUV's before this came out, and at much lower budgets. Used Suzuki Vitaras/ Toyota Rav4s? Why would you buy a brand new cheapest version of this car that has no radio, no electric windows, no electric mirrors, no sun roof, no central locking, no air conditioning, no colour bumpers, no metallic paint as an option... just a heater and speedometer like a 1950's car.

The Duster is amazing at that price because it's doesn't have any essential features or luxuries... But that is a family car, where you need those things (like a radio), so people who buy the basic version are MAD when they can buy a fully loaded 1 year old car... The Ginetta is a sports car thats about £170,000 cheaper than a Lamborghini, so that makes that car a bargain, and you don't need the luxuries in that car as it belongs on the track. P.S. It looks like you're complaining actually.

The G40 is a great looking car! What an interesting idea to have a vehicle with AWD go head to head with a RWD car. Since AWD systems are not equal I wonder how this video would have gone if the Duster had been replaced with a Subaru Impreza. Subaru's have symmetrical AWD and that's one of the best systems out there.

What kind of test is this?? The Duster has stereo even at it's cheapest version! But if you made this test, then how about put these two cars on a muddy road and then see who is better! The Ginetta is a sports car and the Duster is an off-roader car! They can't compete!! But if you made this competition on the Ginetta's favor then do it for the Duster as well and see which is better on off-road!!

well, you could buy not-so-cheap-but-still-cheap top version with the 105hp diesel engine, plus optionals... Still, the most expensive Duster does cost 18k EUR only. And I never checked the cheapest version of the Duster... I think on Western European market it comes with central locking, AC unit, metallic paint and radio as a standard, while on Eastern European markets... well, that's a whole different story.
