World’s top golfer Scottie Scheffler arrested by Louisville Metro police

The gaslighting by the police is unreal. first, his body camera wasn’t on and if so, go figure of course it wasn’t. They wouldn’t want proof of anything then there’s another count he didn’t have body camera, so they’re not sure what spin they want to put on that one. then they want to say he was in full uniform with a yellow jacket on what does it matter what uniform he had on if it was hidden by the jacket, but they had to gaslight that uniform. Then they want to talk about his pants were torn and they were $80 again talking about something that really doesn’t matter but they want you to believe because the pants are torn and he got injured. That’s the only reason why bring up torn pants. then the cop has an investigative services business on the side, so he’s gotta throw that in there. now go look at one of the photos online of this cop and you can tell by looking at them. His ego is so big, all his awards and accomplishments have gotten to his head, and by the fact that he tried to fly on top of a car means he thinks he’s a superhero.

28+years in law enforcement & I can without any doubt that the arrest of the Scottie Scheffler was not warranted. We must assume that police officers are lying unless proven via body cam footage or creditable evidence. Reason: Because police officers lie all the time. Why: To effect an arrest, over aggressiveness, bad energy-attitude-power tripping, you name it. If you listen to the police office's voice, the one who said he's going to jail...... you can sense the aggressive energy in his tone. Also, who was he explaining this to and why? Perhaps the other police officer didn't think it was necessary and thought it was an overreach.... which is probably the case. Lastly: you have a major scene (death involved mind you) and there are no officers with their body cams activated? Wake up America, if it does not fit you must acquit.

Any comments about privilege or miss using status are misinformed & stupid. The Tournament organisers had agreed with the local police that golfers & their coaches can circumvent the road-blocks. All other golfers with early tee times had been going through… but quite clearly, the news hadn’t filtered through on Scottie’s occasion / or the officers didn’t recognise him or feel was a competing golfer.

Wait what? How was Scheffler suppose to know. Traffic outside tournaments are like this everywhere. That is why they give PGA Player signs, which give them the right of way directly to the event. Seems the LEO did know he was a player and didn't see the sign and when they finally realized it the LEO could have just allowed him go on, but instead he make the same mistake other PO$ LEO do, they charge and hope he doesn't get in trouble. The cop jumped onto his car, his injuries was his own fault, this actually illustrates how some tough on crime legislation from the 90's has led to cops being able to wreck your life, because cops can literally put their bodies in your way, get "injured 🤭" and charge a normal person with a felony. I personally believe the cop didn't know he was dealing with a big time golfer and decided to jump on his car, knowing he could wreck this guy's life by the charges he's going to drop on him afterwards, especially if he couldn't afford a real lawyer and now he's probably sweating buckets, because he knows the local system won't dare to play the games in favor of the cops with this level of scrutiny; therfore its not going to hold up in court and because "if nothing else" for agreed insurance reasons alone, he actually probably broke department policy by jumping on that car, and because of the scrutiny, internal affairs this time, is going to actually follow the actual policy and law on the matter, which means he is possibly going to get suspended for acting like a fool.

Unless life is in danger, glomming onto a suspect vehicle should be a serious violation of any department’s policy. That is not necessary, and doing so creates unnecessary risks the officer must be responsible for. You have a description of the vehicle and the suspect. You have a license plate. You might even see where the suspect is headed, and can calmly attend to the matter there. Making yourself an octopus for a minor collar is stupid, and ought to lead to reprimand.
