I really like Filus style. It's far more entertaining than most offensive players. Mind you it's NOT the easiest way to win matches on this level of table tennis, especially against chinese offensive players. Win or loose, he's still one of my favourite players....

What a match..I can tell that unless Ruwen gets little more offensive, he can not win against top 4. It could be much one sided in favor of Wang in future. I personally liked how Wang handled chops and win ratio in those rallies.

The score is not close but Wang had a hard time with Filus. Wang misunderstood the spins produced from a chopper. How often we see Chinese national players mishitting like Wang did against Filus? If Filus was sharper with his attacks, the scoreline would be really close. Filus, over the years, never really advances his offensive skills.

@@sstt5114 Of course, I am serious about Wang's mishandling of many balls from Filus. This is also very much related to Wang playing against Filus the 1st time. Every individual chopper has their own touch. Are you aware that Wang, a few years ago, lost to a 40-year-old chopper, a lop-sided blowout? That happened in the final of the Chinese National Tournament.

I don’t think Wang misread any serve, his returns hit the bottom of the net. I do that all the time, not because I misread, it’s just the angle was slightly off or the wrong part of the racquet hit the ball

always kind of looks like that to me as well. BUT if you actually take the time to look at some slow-mos, he´s quite close to it but i think he serves on the line. I´ts super close tho.

Excellent game, Filus is playing better and better. His points were excellent. He needs a black rubber with a higher trajectory angle, mainly because he tires his shoulder a lot from so much backhand chop, and when he then hits a forehand topspin, the trajectory goes very flat and misses.

Filus is not easy to play against. Twiddling to vary chop spins, long pips to delay return stroke, sudden flash attacks could easily upset a lot of top players. Wang lost the first game for failing to study/control/align Filus' timing. However, it's all different once he mastered it. BTW, Wang missed a few forehands coz those returns came off the BLACK pips that slowed down/wobbled the ball. Obnoxious play.

Ich stimme dir zu. Wang hatte wirklich bisschen die Hosen voll und es war für ihn ziemlich unangenehm, gegen Filus zu spielen. Er hat wohl erst 0:4 gegen nen Chopper verloren und kann es sich als Chinas Nummer 1 jetzt halt auch nicht erlauben, gegen Filus zu verlieren. So gesehen hatte Filus echt ne Chance, aber da hätten halt mindestens 85 % seiner Angriffsbälle kommen müssen

Защитник неплохо натыкал на самом деле, при всем при том как он играл. Любой защитник, должен уметь вовремя переходить в нападение. В этом пуля дефа. И чуйка должна быть. А здесь защитник ни один элемент в контратаку успешно не провел, Все вины - залупил до талого. Не интересен как деф игрок.

FL3 have very bendy pips and with good contact it's possible to generate reasonable backspin. but even a small amount would be enough for WCQ to net his push if he thought it was topspin/float
