nice job and very generous of you...one question , I have quite a bit of experience with the ongoing cracks in the frames chinese quads and merely cleaning and rewelding cracks especilly because the cracks are at hi stress points never lasts unless you also add some reinforcement the quad's frame will just recrack again and again??
@PraskaBoysGarage4 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right. Adding gussets for reinforcement is probably the best thing you can do to assure it doesn't happen again. In my experience with these chinese atvs is they will find a way to crack regardless of the extra support. I've never had one of my welding points break its always found a new spot!

I really don’t track my hours because it’s my hobby, and in this case I gave the ATV back for free. If I were to guess, I would say maybe 20-25 hours in the shop. My usually costs fall around $300-$350 in parts and I typically sell them for the $450-$500 range. I don’t make much but it’s enough to fund the next project! ;)

Unbelievably thoughtful and generous of you to not only rebuild this fire ATV and give it back for free, but also to drive round trip 6 hours for delivery. 25 hours labor (seems awfully low) @ $50/ hour would put labor @ $1250 bucks, plus whatever you spent in parts, plus other parts ATV for $50. You rarely if ever see anyone do that.

The best quality paint to get that holds up well is from Eastwood. It's called 2K aerosol paint that has a hardener so it is a more durable paint that looks great. Better than your standard spray cans.

I love watching your videos!! Thank you for what you do!! Where did you get that stand for the motors?

Hey thank you very much! This is my #1 question for sure! I actually had a CNC company laser cut out all the metal to start making and selling my own. I will be selling the kits on my website either as a DIY kit or a completely assembled and power coated. Should have everything ready soon and will post updates on the channel.

I hope you keep making videos I see most are a year old but I would love to see a video go into detail about the indicators on why the electric switch does not start. Thanks in advanced

Check out the videos I just recently posted on the channel. I can't leave links cause KZbin deletes the comment but the one that is titled "How to flip a chinese atv" I talk about trouble shooting that switch around the 20 minute mark.

I use that truck bed paint a lot on all my frames use it on my Skidoo rails Ski-Doo skis I paint everything with that stuff even did my patio set a few years back and it still looks good and it holds up well over time and so much harder to chip than paint but if you want that smooth shiny look you'll never get it with this stuff.

Jason Mercer Im a big fan of it. Once sprayed an entire Volkswagen Beetle in the stuff! Makes everything you put it on a little more durable!

Does your CDI box have a total of 5 wires that plug into it?
