I just bought 2 games now because they are on an amazing sale and great deals and they are out for a while and patched properly. Also they are Complete Editions which means I don't need to wait for anything. Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. Love Star Wars and love LEGOs so plenty of fun awaits. Also grabbed AC Valhalla Complete Edition. I just love ACs and Ubi's open-world. Nothing more to say. Cost me probably 60 euros altogether. So if you stood facing a closed door and heard loud footsteps coming from your 2 O'clock and getting louder, you could correctly predict that there is a guard in the next room walking towards the door from your right. Most modern developers don't take the time to do that. In modern games that same guard could either be walking towards the door, or he could be three floors below you and walking in the other direction. Saints Row was more that just an appalling game: It was the last insult to fans of the series. IMO, 3 and 4 were already a bad path for the series to take, after 2 was so good. This reboot was just the moldy cherry on top of a shit sundae, but what made it so much worse was the attitude of the devs, who took a decent series and ruined it, then told us to piss off for disliking it. In a decade where GTA has been almost completely absent, we needed a game like Saints Row 2 to come along. Instead we got just another on the pile of ruined franchises.

Evil West is good fun, his complaints for it being bad are laughable 😂

Actually I do have a time machine. It’s called a Steam Deck, and ever since I put emulators on it I haven’t touched any steam games and have just been playing my favorite games from yesteryear.

Same here, as well as getting around to some of the games I bought years ago and never played, like Transistor and Outer Wilds. I think the only new ‘AAA’ game I got this year was Elden Ring.

Duckstation and PCSX2 are the GOATs, can't beat them. I started gaming on a desktop PC recently for the first time since the 90's and something I'm really liking there is that a lot of older games either just run well at higher resolutions "out of the box", have fan mods/patches to make them work, or in the best case scenarios; have full blown source code based ports that completely modernize them. I've been playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein via the ioRtCW source port at 1440p 144fps and it's fucking amazing. Open Morrowind is good as well. I'm happy to buy AAA games when they're actually good, like everyone else I did get around to buying Elden Ring in September. Fantastic game. Bought Devil May Cry 5 on sale then too since I missed out on that in 2019, also excellent. But AAA is rarely ever that good now.

I hardly played titles from this year,.perhaps not even 1 come to think of it. One of the worst years in some time

Regarding Scorn, they must've patched in more checkpoints or something, because I really enjoyed my time with it tbh.

Running around with a pogo stick hitting penises... I had to pause the video due to laughing. Never change Mack! Best game reviewer on the Internet.

I think this is the first year where I’ve gone back to older games with finally realizing that ‘hype’ is a tool.

I honestly had no expectations or interest for saints row 5 but holy shit, by the looks of it, they couldn’t have made a more embarrassingly broken and by the numbers open-world sandbox game if they tried.

Sadly, Steam reviews are not totally reliable. Lots of copy/paste and bots making fake positive or negative reviews. Some are very well written, but you'll see the exact same thing on other games.

I don’t think we give the worst games of this year enough credit. To include more abysmal story lines, more boring fetch quests and to claim the game has more “Unique RPG elements and a vibrant open world” than the average game of this year, is incredible. I admire it.. surely they’re doing this on purpose… maybe this is just one huge joke..

The first 3 games you listed plus sniper elite 5 weren’t the best games but they were far from the worst by any means.

I got Need for Speed Unbound on sale but I have played none of the other games. I actually quite like it, but it honestly seems like it's just an expansion of Need for Speed Heat. And if you're not careful you can lose your place in the race when you hit something. It's happened to me loads of times.

That’s exactly what i said, bro nfs unbound is solid game I just love the sounds, it even looks great and has some kinda personality.

What a year... Congrats to Volition, they went out of their way to completely destroy their franchise. Now they're part of Gearbox. Oh, it's not going to end well...

YESSSS!!!! I *_knew_* it would be Saints Row. I said as much on the day of release in a comment on a different vid. I put something like "Wait till Mac gets a hold of Saints Row 4. He's not going to be a happy bunny." or something like that. Well-deserved to be the worst "game" of 2020. Love ya Mack o7

Me and my friends moved to PC gaming from console gaming just so we can pirate games and not pay anymore. The crack version is usually available a few days after release anyway. Yes, it's pirating, but we don't exactly lose sleep over it. I'm not paying ever again
