I will not forget how Diana was plucked from a normal life as a young woman finding her place in the world and was interrupted in that pursuit by Charles and in the space of ten years, catapulted through every major life event, all very publically only to be reduced to a spurned wife, with a cheating husband, and desperate attempts to find self worth with affairs herself. Luckily and through no thanks to Charles, she did manage to find her self worth but not before being taken advantage of when she was too young and idealistic to know better.

Charles as a single man and heir to the throne could have his pick of any one of a number of ladies, but though he was attracted to a married woman, bad judgement right there, it was also, for anyone who cares about such things - a sin against God and one that I doubt he has asked forgiveness for. Camilla for her part, was a married woman committing a sin against her own husband. No doubt, during the wedding ceremony, she very likely agreed to honor and be faithful to him for life. So much for that. Worse, Charles saw an innocent, untainted, beautiful young woman and deceitfully implied that he loved her and she, being innocent and untainted, believed him. Only to be left emotionally bereft of any love, support or hope, even though the cad managed to sire two children with her. The pain and hurt she displayed during interviews was palpable and yet the two adulterers carried on eventually finding a way to abandon their vows and destroy two families and a young girl who would have otherwise had a normal and likely very happy life if Charles has simply let her alone. During the course of the " marriage " Diana got an immense crash course in life which left her seeking and resulted in her too, having affairs to hurt Charles no doubt. She did NOT seek partners outside of her marriage until it was clear as a bell, her " husband " had no feelings for her and in the worst of ways, deceived and betrayed her. Sadly all for the global public to witness. As the leader of the country Charles had the responsibility to set the standard for his subjects and failed miserably. I have no expectation that either he nor Camilla will ,with such values and morals obviously missing from either one's character. King is higher ranking than Queen. So all consorts are crowned Queen. But they can never become Queen Regent (ruler). If the king dies before them, their official title becomes Queen Dowager. The next in line takes the throne. But husbands of Queen Regent's cannot be crowned King as that would give him a higher rank than the Queen Regent.

Philip did not have any valid titles left when he married Elisabeth II. Her dad (King George) bestowed him a few titles like Duke of Edinbugh and never a title of 'king consort'. There is no title of 'king consort' only queen consort which the Queen bestowed on Camilla before her death. Camilla would have lost all titles as Catherine would become Dutchess of Cornwall after the Queen's death. If Phillip was called king, it could have made him superior to the Queen as male and possibly sucsessor in case of her early death. No one in her family - even the Queen- wanted this door opened. A queen (consort) has far fever rights as female and is just the King's wife or Queen's husband. Incase of Charle's death she cannot refuse to vacate the throne and has to make way for the true heir. She is not "The Queen", she is Camilla, Queen Consort. A Queen is a Regnant Queen and Queen Consort is the spouse of the King. Regnant Queens are equivalent to King, so no one can be above them that's why Philip was a Prince Consort

Diana had let go of jealousy and resentment as she and Charles co-parents "the boys" after the divorce.
