Wound Care Wednesday: Dressing Change for a BKA Stump

Welcome back to my channel, everyone! In today's Wound Care Wednesday video, I'll be showing you how I change the dressing on my left below-knee amputation (BKA) stump, which was reopened two weeks ago. Join me as I walk you through the entire process, including the supplies I use and the steps I take to ensure proper wound care.
After my surgeon discontinued the wound VAC on Monday, I've been instructed to change the dressings every two days. In this video, I'll demonstrate how I use Maxorb extra ag+ Calcium Alginate with silver dressing, covered by gauze and a bordered gauze dressing to promote healing and prevent infection.

Yes, it did finish. The surgeon had to excise the wound and put some stem cells in the incision.
