Alai is Dimashs' "partner" for the show. The job of the partner is to introduce their particular singer and build them up before they sing. No one knew anything about Dimash, not even the other singers. Alai did a fantastic job whenever he introduced Dimash before each song. However, after his first song, SOS, Dimash really needed no introduction. The gentleman at the end show that gave the fist pump is Dimashs' father. I wish you had the video go all the way to the end to see the look on Dimashs' face when he spotted him. He did not know his Dad was going to be there.

Perhaps you should continue with Dimashs' appearances on this show, The Singer 2017. That way you can follow his career beginnings as everyone else did. You can see how he continuously improved. Not only in his vocal skills but in his English as well. When he appeared on this show, he was only 22 and only spoke Kazakh and Russian. Even now, I still get chills when I listen to some of his songs from that show. Especially Adagio, All By Myself, and Unforgettable Day. You will always have new subscribers and followers for Dimash reactions. Love your comments too. Still trying to find words to adequately describe his talent and him as a person. Dimash does cover "The Show Must Go On", and Brian May said that Freddie Mercury would be proud.

The gentleman in the audience that they kept going back to is Dimash’s father. In another video of the same performance they explain that Dimash didn’t know his dad was there. He basically jumped into his dad’s arms when he finally noticed him after the performance and Dimash could be heard asking his dad “Did I sing well?” ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸

Thank you, Sohum...dear 😂 One of the favorite videos/songs of metal fans who react to Dimash is "Olimpico". He uses a lot of operatic vocal technique in it, but the composition is very close to symphonic metal. If you do it, it's highly recommended to do the version on composer Igor Krutoy's youtube channel -- the thumbnail shows Dimash encircled by flashlights.

I don’t know which songs you already reacted to or seen in the past. This person is Aray Aydarhan, a Kazakh singer and music producer and on the show The Singer was Dimashs' interpreter since Dimash did not speak Mandarin. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. The man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot. If you might want to see the whole video, especially the meeting with his father, privately, here is the link. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny. Adagio was the 6th performance of The Singer competition in China in 2017. A really beautiful song❤️. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time, I see this performance I forget to breathe. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance literally hit me physically every time🤯. And you can see that I’m not the only one. It speaks for itself that this performance leads to such emotions as that of this woman from the jury and even makes jury members cry. This is so emotional because he literally sang for survival as he was almost voted out on the last episode on Uptown Funk. That's why he had to give everything at Adagio. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. They performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

I have also considered how difficult it must have been for Dimash to be in China, away from his family, in a new culture and not knowing a word of Mandarin! What courage that must have taken. I love the look on Dimash's face when he spots his dad in that other video! Priceless. I also LOVE 'Adagio'... It's almost like he goes into an altered state. And, I always love when he throws himself to his knees, as in the Bastau 'Daybreak' and others. OMG! Those knee pads were the perfect gift! There are so many Dears out there who have known him since 2017. I admit it took me a little bit to get back into his music at first. My first song was Passione😨. Wow I was really shocked. That was probably a bit too intense to get in. After weeks I slowly dared to see another video again 😅. After that I was addicted. I saw everything there was to see. Especially a lot of interviews. I read comments like crazy. My husband was already jealous. The term Dears was more of a myth to me as I had never met or seen one. Then came Dusseldorf. A revelation. I met a lot of nice Dears there, who I still see today. I learned an incredible amount from them. I'm at least as captivated by his personality as I am by his singing. When he started at The Singer back in 2017, he was still so young. He seemed so innocent and carefree despite the pressure of such a competition. And that too alone in a foreign country. I think he grew up incredibly fast there. I hope you'll excuse me if I texted you like this, but once I start Dimash it's hard to stop. Maybe you feel the same😁

This was the first time that Dimash had ever been separated from his family for any length of time. He was so homesick, and unbeknownst to him his dad was in the audience. If you turn on the captions and watch just a little further on, you'll see his father surprise him and they embrace. It's very very touching.

La canción fue escrita y estrenada por e cantante ruso Vitas, sin embargo, no puedo de dejar de pensar que Dimash eleva la buena canción original a la categoría de extraordinaria, y me pregunto qué sentirá sinceramente su autor al oír una versión que en mi opinión personal, supera la original, igual que, a mi juicio, sucede con su interpretación de Hello. I have assumed that he is a Uighur, a Chinese Kazakh, as they are extremely talented and artistic, and he sometimes introduces Dimash on the show. I think he knows both languages and can interpret, and probably has a musical background to be involved at this level.

Dimash's performances are always amazing. I would like to suggest another great performer his name is Hua Chenyu, he is very famous in China. Hua Chenyu performs rock, rap, you name it. Hua is a very animated, and quirky. Hua also performed some of his songs in a contest called "I am a singer". Check out his performances of Fake Monk, Nunchucks, and his beautiful performance of the song Child. I believe you will really enjoy him.
