Keep in mind fight club strongly recommends tanks not to go much higher than the expertise soft cap, since expertise is worth half as much past that point. You'd be much better off wearing 51 Stam darkmoon card rather than using Shard of Contempt (attack power is also our worst scalar, only buffing auto attack damage).

Past soft cap, 1 Expertise rating provides the same threat as 1 hit rating (plus less parry haste dmg) past the soft cap. That recommendation was from when expertise was harder to get. In sunwell it is good to get until hard cap. Shard is a great threat item until you get all the expertise items from sunwell. It also procs usually early in a fight so it is added snap threat in addition to the expertise.

WoW players are some of the most pedantic, anal retentive people I've ever come across. I recommend you guys get into higher hobbies, this game isn't complex enough for what you're brain splurging over, a good healer will just compensate for any of the mitigation stuff and not worrying about killing the bosses in 4 seconds will compensate for the threat stuff. It's all just exra placebo effect.

Yeah none of the year customizations are necessary, it’s just fun. You will notice gear changes a lot more in dungeons or 10 mans with low gear healers.

I would argue that a prot warrior is one of the few specialties in the game where stuff like this actually does matter (especially for threat generation), not that a supreme gentleman like yourself actually cares enough to form an honest opinion on it.

Professor Karen thinker, you may look up my logs (beeflon). I tanked until phase 3 and got glaives for the reroll. Don't want to be dead weight in sunwell. Warriors are useless tanks in swp, so go get glaives too :)
