You forgot one little part in the statement that seems to always be forgotten. George Mason, of Virginia: I ask, who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.” - Virginia`s U.S. Constitution ratification convention, 1788 "except a few public officer's" means. "A public officer, who is a "state officer," as defined in Public Officers Law Section 2 " is from NY Oath/Affirmation of Public Officers. But the meaning is the same from state to state, therefore the National guard in not a militia. Just to add context to your statement.

In one section they call the Constitution the supreme law of the land but then in another section it says you cannot join if you can't pass a federal background check. There's nothing in the CONST about prohibited persons. ANY gun control is unconstitutional.

I am recruiting "emergency " militia with our southern brothers and sisters in arms. Its not just state wide anymore. I am directly in contact and currently staying with Louisiana militia. Sharing and spreading important information and doing what needs to be done to awaken the biggest movement in the History of the United States. Government over reach has gone too far, and taking it back what belongs to the people and bringing the elite down off of their high pedestal starts yesterday.

There's been a solid militia in Oakland county for decades. I saw it personally in the late 80's. Thankfully, I moved to dixie when I was 20 years old and will never live in yankeeville again. No way. MI is a lost cause.

Here is another way to secure our Rights. In 1982, the city council in Kennesaw, Georgia, passed an ordinance requiring heads of households to maintain working firearms and ammunition. " ... To provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore," the ordinance states. Not quite an organized militia but it works. The Militia Act of 1791 was sunset in 1903 but the government authorized the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Kudos to Holton Township.

The whole point is to start your own in the place you live. The huge part of the problem we are in is "somebody else should do this" and giving primacy to the federal government over the state and local government. If we fail to self govern, it opens the door for the federal beast to put its toe in the door. If you don't need federal funds because your local economy and government is self sufficient, you don't have to abide by the strings attached to federal funds. Taking back the country looks like building your local economy and governance to make the feds unnecessary except for the very limited roles they were designed to do.

Second amendment' was a gift from the founding fathers" to assure that the government" that we install, takes care of the business they were installed to take care of, and that is it. Highways' and international Commerce' should be about the only thing they are handling. The states can take care of themselves !

The militia statement seems to have been written by a misguided attorney. First problem, if you hold allegiance to the U.S.A., you are a member of the militia, there is no "opting out". Second problem is the use of dates, from December 15, 1791 to infinity, we have commanded our right to not be restricted. Any and all offensive and defensive arms of any form are protected, the only caveat is that is does not cause harm just sitting on a shelf (radioactive materials).
