Let's be real. Totally cool for scissoring *around his face*, standing the entire groom, letting you clip nails like it's a day at the spa. That's someone's dog. If abandoned, that little guy deserves a great forever home. Such a fluffy sweetheart! Super cute.
@christopherkidwell98172 сағат бұрын
Agreed. Did they check him for a chip at the shelter? If that was my dog, I would have had one implanted.
@G1ngerFox2 сағат бұрын
I think that would be the first thing to be checked... Maybe he was an elderly person's pet, and either his owner do d!ed or went into an elderly home... Some families really don't care for their "loved ones" pets... and just dump them. He looks like he has been loved and cared for. I hope he'll find a good home if he doesn't have one searching for him right now...
@mommynabСағат бұрын
I found a cat, totally healthy and looked cared for. Owners got divorced, the husband kept the pet, perhaps out of "mine" mindset but then the new wife didn't want the pet. Sad really but life happens. People divorce, die, leave to go abroad... and don't always do a good job at properly re-homing.

8 years ago I found a little black fluffball tied to the fence in the park. I brought him home. Clearly he was abandoned and had been neglected before that (matted coat, underweight) but as I got to know him I could see that someone had loved him. His leash manners were excellent, he loved baths and knew what was happening as soon as he heard the water. He sat politely and let me put on his sweater (my other dog would flail his legs and wiggle like jello) and he rode the subway with me like a commuter. And sometimes when we were out walking, he would suddenly veer up the stairs of a random building as if he were home (our home was down 5 steps, not up). All I could think was that his person had become unable to care for him for some reason (prison? death?) and whoever inherited him didn't want him. But it used to haunt me that someone had loved him as much as I did. Sometimes I would tell him to close his eyes and we would send a message to whoever had loved him before so that s/he would know he was loved and taken care of. It's hard to maintain those little fluffy dogs. I know because it was a constant challenge for me. The fact that Kringle's coat and especially his face seem to have been maintained not too long ago makes me concerned that he is lost and not abandoned. I feel very worried that he will be adopted while his people are still looking for him. I am sending out positive energy that Kringle's family will look in the right place and be reunited.

Thank you for all you do for these animals! Dont worry about speaking in front of crowds (I'm in the same position as you) just focus on the ones who love you and all the sweet animals. You will do great! I would like to add one possibility for Kringle being out on his own. His owner may be in the hospital (a dog running out the door as emergency personnel enter is not their first concern and the animal can go unnoticed), or the owner may be deceased. I inherited two adorable senior dog because we pre-arranged to be the guardians before there was a problem. When my friend went into the hospital, the neighbors knew to contact me to come get them. Sadly she died, but she was at ease knowing her pups were safe. Her heir wanted nothing to do with the dogs, so they were also relieved and gladly signed final papers transferring them to me. Most owners do not think to provide for their pets even if they do have a will or trust. If there is no written provision, the heir is free to do with the animals as they see fit! If there is no will or trust, it may be left to the local authorities to "deal with" them, and I think we all know how that goes. Please, for the love of dogs (and cats, etc.) make arrangements BEFORE your sweet pets need a guardian. I have taken in several pets of all sorts, but not all are found in time. When my cousin died, the person reporting her death simply opened a window for her cat. We were not notified for months, and she was never found. I can only hope she found her way to a new family. Again, thank you for all you do, Vanessa, you are a voice for so many who cannot speak. You will be wonderful at the event!

I had a Bichon named Gus a few years ago. He came to us quite literally off the street one morning. He was freshly shaved down (we lived in Phoenix, AZ at the time) and so sunburnt and tired. He was older and already had health issues with his teeth and eyes. He was a good doggy though and we loved bim very much. Unfortunately when we moved to MO after my moms passing we had to adopt him out. We didnt want to but all of us were working and no one would be there to take care of him in his senior doggy years. Luckily i found sisters who adopted him, one worked for a vet and one worked for a doggy daycare. I hope Kringle finds a good home.

Hey Vanessa. I was a voice major in college, and I have a degree in music. When I started college, public speaking scared the crap out of me, and public singing scared me even more. Fortunately I got over those fears quickly, as they would have seriously hindered my education. I was able to sing solo at my college graduation in front of more than 3,000 people, and it was such a rush. But one of my friends didn’ get over that fear, and one of our professors gave her some excellent advice. She told her to schedule a time after she had to perform to have a panic attack. So for example, if she was supposed to perform at 2pm, she should schedule her panic attack for 6pm. This advice was ingenious, and it worked. She performed without breaking down, and she almost always forgot to have the panic attack she’d scheduled for later. Our prof was a genius. I highly recommend giving her advice a try.

Thirteen years ago, I adopted a 'stray' bichon. He turned out to be a runner and an opportunist so I assume someone got tired of chasing after him. He and I worked out a series of compromises over the years. Today he's blind and has an arthritic leg and I miss that runner (well, a little anyway). Bichons are independent but they are precious. Anyone who adopts Kringle will have years of love and happiness.

I just lost my Bichon after 14 wonderful years together. Hank was an absolute Houdini, it didn't matter what we did. If he was left outside unobserved for any length of time he would escape and ask the neighbors for treats. It became almost routine whenever we had a dog sitter that would forget that we would get a phone call "hey, you must be on vacation. We have Hank!" This pup may be similarly mischievous.

Remember, you don't ever look as nervous as you may initially feel. It usually takes only a few minutes to get over the shock of all eyes on you Pick out a friendly face from the crowd and focus on them for a few minutes. Get the crowd engaged early with show of hands questions etc. Also, you will have alot of people mesmerized by your voice and beauty! After a while they will be eating out of your hands (pun intended). Have a great time!
