House constantly uses his ability as a doctor to do things that would not only get his license revoked but several years in prison. The only reason we give house a break is because he's saving lives while he makes people miserable, but in his mind it's all justified. Tritter was designed to be exact same way, hence why he even said "Everybody lies".
@AntifaareFascists-zv6xk11 ай бұрын
5:40 watch Tritter ask the question. He inflected with intention to get a jarred answer. It happens all the time. "Can you prove that?" "Oh, you think I can't." The thing is, Tritter said "do you have?" That's a question of a present or absent characteristic. He specifically inflected because he knew House's response before he said it."I CAN-" is a statement of capability, not characteristic. A statement of capability is not a statement of current any standing. "This isn't because I was speeding-" again, just by letting House talk, Tritter is able to do the majority of his job. The director put the six most important words there for a reason "anything you say can and will-" It's was placed there for a reason. House did absolutely ZERO detective work himself as we've seen sniff out fakes, fraudsters and the occasional woman that is cashing in before losing her benefits. He chose not to see it and Tritter saw ever detail with ease. So much so, if the viewer is honest, they know they saw it too. You get pulled on at 40 in a 25, do you open with a joke about how it's not about the law you were just breaking? No, we don't want to admit it because we love House but there's some part of him that's not only delusional but downright stupid compared to your average citizen. It's based around the otherworldly quality of arrogance he has. Yes arrogance can be bad but it's not bad when it's right. Tritter just so happened to prove it this point. He's in the right, House is in the wrong and it's the arrogance of both men the have been flipped vertically. House is no longer making strides, he's making confessions and Tritter went from pin cushion to pin in that same time. I think Tritter is a poor parallel translation for House, solely because House exists as the focus. If we saw Tritter outsmart House into talking more, He'd be a great parallel but House does most of the talking as far as Tritter's "case" is concerned. I think he could have been fleshed out more for the parallel but here's the thing, eventually it turns into Mario and Luigi on 8 bit. Remember the whole carbon copy, girl action movie wave that happened a few years back? You could tell before the trailer ended, yea, it's one of those. I think that was avoided intentionally between House and Tritter. Yes, seeing a close approximation is actually quite nice when done correctly. Like banter between our main interest and themselves about the thing that makes you love them in the first place. Like your pup looking at you intentionally adorably, maybe you can't prove it but it feels like they're doing that just for you. I don't think there's a way to represent a House type character that has an opposing position in an honest way because the House type character is your main character. Whoever their opposition will definitionally be a background character that's been brought up without the long and arduous explanation our main hero has shown to us. Most basically "that's MY purse, I don't know you." It's very hard to look at the opposition and see a direct opponent. Either above, potentially life destroying, or below, hilariously life affirming. Jail time or Kutner balloon animaling the intestines of a dead man because we don't even know if Tritters ever had a partner.

Tritter is the best rival House ever had as he always maintained his demeanor and had a commanding presence.
@sypherthe297th210 ай бұрын
The problem is that House's position was earned through years of education and being polite isn't required to treat people's illnesses. Which he dies successfully. Tritter, on the other hand, is just a former high school jock abusing the authority the public entrusted him with in the mistaken belief he would wield it appropriately. There are Constitutional restrictions, laws, and regulations he has to follow to use his authority including not using it for personal gain. He did not. The US should build a new SuperMAX prison in the furthest northern reaches of Alaska for criminal cops like Tritter. Never to be a part of society again. To basically be forgotten as most people do with trash. It isn't that House is the "hero" because the show is aboit him. No. Tritter is symbolic of all police. Power mad. Arrogant. Abusive. It has to stop once and for all.

It doesn't take an idiot to realize that some people with depression hide behind passive aggresive and surreal jokes. In fact it takes a rather smart individual to understand What house does. The only thing that remains is, House is not a bully. He is depressed. Treating people like crap is what he does best, but behind every salty word and remark is a bitter yet caring individual. He may even tell you that he cares about nothing in a smartass sort of way, but it's because he has nothing to care for. its the simple and yet not so simple case of the "school bully". Kid may have issues making friends, being mean. But it truly takes walking in his shoes to realise why he is frustrated or taking it out on others. Life at home is where it hits the hardest. It was when Tritter cut off his Vicodin supply that House became a worse Doctor, which was Tritter's fault. He wanted to do the right thing but he made everything worse, not only did he start the fight by tripping House, but has the audacity to try to convince people that he's the good guy.
