Friend. I've experienced a small piece of hell and this is what it's like. On a sunny day I was walking with God and talking with Him. He asked me a question that I answered in my pride and selfishness. At once clouds came over, the sky turned dark and I became very cold and alone. An emptiness came upon me and I was alone like I'd never been before. Fear grabbed me and panic took me to the depths of disappear. God, peace, security was no where to be seen. I reevaluated my answer to Him and immediately the clouds parted, the warmth of the sun hit me and I was once again walking with my God. Hell is the absents of God, the Almighty.

Having spent 5+ years at Walmart, I know that anyone is reachable. It's just a matter of who is tolerant enough. Some people, all you have to say is a single word and they'll go off on you. Others, it's just a matter of taking some time to talk to them and you can easily diffuse a situation.

I pick the one God's spirit tells me to. If I start jawing to just anyone I'm doing it in my own strength and achieving nothing. Yet if the spirit of God directs you to someone He is the one who is speaking, you are only there to provide the voice. If God wants to speak to a biker or gang member, the ground has been plowed and made ready. No fear. If you choose a biker without God's spirit you'll probably be chewed up and spat out. Fact.

How do I know God /heaven exists? The Bible is the word of God. It directs you to God. It introduces you to the living God. Take time to read the gospels and ask Christ into your life. He is a living God and the Bible is his letter of introduction if only you took time to read it. That is how I know God/heaven is real. Take it or leave it. But know God will never beg you. He gives you the opportunity to know Him. Take it; now.

Goths can be Christian. Goth is not a religion. Screw the misconceptions! They're not true! I'm a goth and I don't worship Satan nor a witch. So before you judge get to know the goth first! We are normal people but our interest is just a bit different. A lot of goth things are inspired by the Bible anyway.

I actually think that many of the misconceptions of goth were actually put on us by people who are not in the subculture and who have not real knowlege of alternative people in general. I'm glad that things are getting better.

“The whole idea of believing in the Bible is that you have to believe it to believe it” You answered: “you’re right” No, that’s not right. We don’t believe the Bible just because the Bible tells us to. The Bible is mostly historical narrative, therefore we can make a conclusive statement on whether those events are historically accurate or not. The Bible makes claims that can be objectively true or false. The resurrection is historically verifiable. We don’t blindly believe the Bible, we believe because it has been proven repeatedly reliable. And that’s just a start.

Mr. Friel, why are the comments turned off for the videos where you interview young Catholics who seem to not know much about theology or ecclesiology? Why don't you interview a theologian or an apologist instead of youngsters who don't seem to know the Catechism? If your claims are valid, you shouldn't be afraid of a good argument 🙂

I think it's because most normal people would disagree with the version of God he describes. From what I understand he claims the most evil person can be accepted into Heaven as long a he accepts Christ, but somebody who doesn't know Christ but otherwise performs good deeds overall is condemned to eternal torture. A god who would behave like that is terrible and a society which believed in that god would rot with immorality.
@thecamelliadiaries Жыл бұрын
wouldn't make sense to witness to a theologian who already agrees, we're here for the lost :)
@JoshsShoeBox Жыл бұрын
@@manuam98 You are determining your own morality and applying it to God. Romans 3:10-12 “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” Hence the need for Christ.
@manuam98 Жыл бұрын
@@JoshsShoeBox Yes indeed, I can't morally get behind a religion in which you get the same punishment for masturbation or a dirty thought as you get for killing or raping. And the fact that the only possibility of redemption is to believe and revere a man who was killed 2000 years ago is not that morally appealing either. It's a judicial system where every action, from the most unoffensive banal act to the most terrible crime gets the exact same sentence, and you get bailed out if you revere the dead son of the judge. Of course I don't find it moral in the least, I don't get how anyone would.

@@wickedneon Because he reverts to the age-old idea of something being complex (a car, in his example) having to have a creator (ie. getting us towards the concept of intelligent design). The whole point of evolution is that, over time, it can produce in nature incredibly complex things so just because it's super complex (the human eye or the wing of a bird, to name two of millions of examples), it doesn't mean that it requires a creator. To claim that it does just shows that you either don't understand how evolution works....or you don't want to understand because you're concerned it might undermine your cherished beliefs.

There's a lot of holes in you arguments Todd, as there is in the Bible. Nick is just an easy target, as he hasn't had enough life experience to fully articulate his skepticism for a theology he's smart enough to know there's something amiss with.
@imercman7985 Жыл бұрын
This guy is probably smarter than you. You judging a random person saying that he hasn’t “had enough life experience” also says a lot about you as a person. There are no holes in the Bible. Only in your faith. Stop being prideful. It is the height of arrogance for Humans to exalt themselves and imagine that he is smarter than his Creator, but that is the mindset of those in positions of power today. Read the Bible. Tie what you read to the things in your life. Look at what’s going on in the world around you and compare it to Revelations. Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
@AR15andGOD Жыл бұрын
Notice how you didn't mention any "holes", which I probably would have also noticed considering I've been an atheist most of my life, and have dabbled in a lot of these circles. But when actually looking at the facts and the evidence, philosophical, such as why is there something rather than nothing, scientific, such as specified complexity, purpose built biological systems including DNA and micromachinery, the sheer impossibility of the things existing of their own accord and forming on their own (statistically impossible, read a math textbook), etc etc etc. And that doesn't even go into the Biblical case of things, which is also rock solid. You also commit a big no-no which is circular logic.

Eeeh what was the character of those that remained. Plus did those who died in the 2 incidents come back to life? God gave us a way to escape his wrath...Jesus is the way. We were left to choose whether to follow him or reject him. And there are two places to be eternally, it's either heaven or hell basing on whether you chose to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and saviour or not. And unless you want to say that our God is a lier, which is certainly not the case. His word is truth. Hell is eternal my friend wake up. Jesus Christ loves you, accept him into your life, may he take away any doubts you have in you.

Hell is eternal, just as heaven is eternal. That is why we must repent of our sins, repent means to admit you're a sinner, and to turn from them. And we must also believe in Jesus Christ, and follow, and obey His word.
