Matt, have you ever tried using a paint prep such as Griots Paint Prep to spay on the car after foaming and prior to washing? This product works very well at stripping wax and preparing for polishing. It also makes it easier to bugs and other contaminants to come off the car.

For some reason tonight I had a thought - would there be a way you could make the buckets sit higher in the dolly to save bending down? If you could work out a way that it could have enough ballast to have a low enough centre of gravity but still roll easily enough I reckon maybe you’d be onto a winner

Rather than switching back and forth I just roll with the Stubby Mosmatic Gun with a 20 degree nozzle, works fine for me, looking forward to the Air Tool Polishing

What orifice are you using for the foam cannon and pressure washer gun nozzle? How much PSI is your pressure washer?

Love this segment and I HAVE to ask you this question:: i normally and have been washing my cars with 3 mitts. Lol. One for the upper and middle of my car one for the lower portion of my car and obviously a mitt for my wheels only... I see you only use one for the whole car. Is my method necessary?? What’s the difference between that chemical guys soap you’re using and the CG green citrus wash and gloss they have in Walmart?

You can add an automatic shutoff valve for the hose to put out a certain amount of water. Add that to your obsessed garage tools ;)

How much water you think I need for one full detail with all this? I’m debating on a small tank I had 100 Gallons and sold it , ordered a 68 low pro now I do t need trailer or much extra to fit my setup. So I’m thinking is 68 still too much?.

Pro tip. Don't point the wand at the car when engaging the trigger. Sooner or later the nozzle won't be in correctly and it will become a paint denting/scratching mini missile. Always point any power washer in a safe direction when engaging the trigger.

Normally, since I have some left in the cannon at the end of the wash, I'll foam it down and rinse it quick after chemical and mechanical decon just to be a little extra safe. It's probably unnecessary, but it's nice to make sure the iron remover, tar remover, and clay lube residue is gone.

Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash (pressure washer concentrate) works great for a strip wash. Have not noticed any skin irritation, suds up good, pleasant smell, cheap, highly concentrated, good stuff! I have not tried Opti-Clay, have you tried a lot of clays? Just got some Meg's Mirror Glaze C-2000 Pro Detailing Clay (Mild) and it is great stuff! Made in Japan.

Pretty sure the bucket would fill faster without the sprayer at the end. I also have a bucket filling station with a short hose like that and it fills quickly open ended

In regards to doing a multi-day detail, what do you do with pollen and dust collected on the car overnight? Just blow it off?

how you compare the chemical guys citrus red vs carpro ironx snow soap for decontamination?

Snow soap doesn't strip wax well, it just helps remove the Iron in a less concentrated form that regular Iron X.

I don't find it difficult. I don't know why, but I don't like pump sprayers. I guess it's just preference.

If water quick disconnects are anything like air quick disconnects, there are 2 types: Industrial and automotive. Industrial fittings use a longer neck on the male end, so they will not fit into automotive female ends. I'm not sure if it is that way with water fittings, but it could be something along those lines.

In air there are more like 8 types. ISO 06 Industrial, Truflate, Euro High Flow, IS0 6150, ARO, British. In water, there aren't as uniform of standards.

If I’m going to wax my car do I need to clay bar first or should I not worry about it? It’s a 2015 and not in bad shape but I can for sure hear the contamination when rubbing across the paint

It likely won't make it any worse, but you should decon it, then polish, then wax in a perfect work.

What blower brand/model do you use, seems high powered to the one I use. I've been through several blowers over years as they don't last! & break...... *I find that having my towels just little bit "damp" drys off the car a lot easier than when using a dry towel....just something that seems to work better for me....🙂 Thanks Again! I just bought the Bon-Aire HN-10C stainless steel version for my bucket filler. Has a solid feel and weight to it. I think the threading is brass though.

I've seen those. I think I'm going to create a basic version and an ultimate version. That nozzle for the basic with a polymer braided hose with brass fittings and then a Moon nozzle and full stainless.

That metal stop on QD is what helps stop water from flowing out when disconnected from water source.....that my guess, as I've run into same issue before. Think that's why? Also, what's the rinse/no rinse debate about after foaming a car.....as didn't know there was one. So like your setup, so cool & professional, like car wash used to manage... Another suggestion(hope don't mind) What you need for the "death spray" is a pressure sprayer(1 gallon and a 32/64oz containers), that way you'll save your hands from hurting the next day from pumping the sprayer so much.....ouch, that's what I use😊(use a pressure sprayer for each product; as reg pump sprayers hurt my hands & get fatigued from continuous use, lol). Nice vid, LOTS, of info & tips & tricks....like these kinds of vids & learning things(as even a 20+ yr veteran can ALWAYS learn new things😉, that's my motto). Cheers, A

Once snowfoam is on the car and dwelling, do you either then rinse it fully off, or go straight into the 2 bucket method contact wash

Unsure if asking me a question or telling me, so apologize if I get this wrong🙂 For me, it depends on the "job", if a car has already had good decon, paint protection, etc... I rinse off before using 2 bucket wash(as will loosen up particulates aa rinsing off before "washing", for me, means not damages paint or finish etc...). If car needs good cleaning, or hasn't been maintained all that great, I just leave foam on & go right into wash. But, like I said, depends on the job, well, car....since every car & owner is different. Cheers, A

Yeah I have been using the citrus wash for a while now and my gallon is almost half done. Absolute best stripping agent out there. Its a shame they stopped making it. I have to get into testing new products to find a worthy replacement.

how an earth do you have such a clean garage and all that nice and tidy detailing stock and manage to do such in depth washes with kids around? i can barely get a basic 2bm method wash done with my 2 under 4 yr old boys running around messing with my detaining arsenal and putting crap in my buckets!

Hey matt love the videos. Have you ever thought of using chemical resistant nitrate gloves? I personally dont like the feel of then detailing but I wear them. Constantly absorbing that through your skin is terrible for you, especially your liver.

I'm here in Largo Fl, I have made myself just get used to them. I buy Hardy 5 Mil and 9 Mil at Harbor Freight and use them ALL the time for handling ALL chemicals. Absorbing even small amounts of various chemicals add up over time. I wear a mask when spraying ALL chemicals, plus eye protection. They are hot and uncomfortable, but think about your kids, you want to be around to play with your grandchildren. Please use some protection. I watch a lot of videos and it just makes me cringe as I see you and others breathing in all of those chemicals. Thanks for all that you do, I'm a huge OG fan, JJ
