This one is particularly exciting, but that's never stopped me from chatting you up for 25 minutes. The paint is in a lot worse condition that you usually see me working on. This one is going to be a fun transformation.

I have the same Plasma Blue paint, it's an awesome color but it's extremely soft. The side vents pull heat from the engine bay at the inner top of the fenders, the positive pressure from the scoop/grill pushes heat through the fender voids twards the vents near the lower wheels vents. All Subaru have crappy UV on their head lamps and paint, detailing and waxing is critical if you don't want to vinyl wrap or repaint sooner then later. It's worth it to use UV PPF on the headlamps. Sherwin Williams Plasma Blue paint looks black from an angle, purple in head on sun, blue in mild light or at some angles. It'd be amazing if Subaru didn't cheap out on the clear coat. It's an amazing car as long as you only use Cobb branded engine mod parts only with an Accessport. Mine has 526HP 498TQ, don't let people say the cars are junk because if you mod them correctly they're top notch sports cars without needing to buy a Porsche. RevWorks in Florida is the best place for you guys to do peformance tuning/work.

You’re correct on our headlights Matt, what I did is I polished mine, then I top coated it with Geyon trim coat, seems to be holding up quite well sometimes I throw a car cover on my car at work and I’ve lost some of OEM coating on the headlight and sometimes they will Marr quite easily now.

This wrx series has been fantastic. Looking forward to more videos. I typically put a piece of 2" tape sticky side up under the rear edge of the hood and trunk lid facing the glass then stick some masking paper to it. Keeps all dust from polishes/compounds out of the windshield wiper area 👍

A suggestion: for your new L-shaped cabinets. For one of the end cabinets on bottom, make it have a built in space where a cart can be wheeled in and stored (locking into place, like was made with the cabinet etc...), that way when you actually "DO NEED/WANT" a cart, you can flipped locking mechanism & wheel the cart out with the most used supplies/tools you use daily for easy access etc... Did a custom built setup like that for a person years ago. It's pretty cool & keeps everything nice & neat, & out of the way; while still maintaining storage within cabinet. Just a thought. Really enjoying this series, Matt. Think you have enough lights? Just want to second your comments on the Fenix PD 35. I keep one on my duty belt at work, and it’s incredibly bright and useful. The button on the side near the front lets you adjust the brightness, too.

Get a Paint Depth Gauge, I’d never touch paint ( new or old) without one.. Great Series👍👍

I think depth gauges are cool for a point of reference, but they don't really work.

If you want I can suggest a tape* dispenser that will fit all your sizes of tape & up to 6 rolls depending on sizes. I have 4 sizes in mine & have a magnet on bottom that can attach to cars, etc.... When working to make things easier. Also, do you ever take off car parts to make detailing easier? Let me know.. I have Adam's Swirl Finder, which I guess is better than nothing for finding imperfections, but I am thinking about getting a Scangrip or Fenix. I'll probably end up with both eventually, but if you had to choose one to buy first, which would it be?

@@ObsessedGarage I ended up getting a Fenix PD35V2.0, and more recently a Fenix TK25UV, which is my new favourite. I've found the UV light to be much more useful than I ever thought; allowing me to see things on the paint and interior that were previous invisible. If you haven't tested a TK25UV I'd highly recommend it.

Have you thought of removing parts instead of taping them? It would have to be easier to remove the front lip than tape it to do the detail. I find myself removing different pieces and parts during different washes for different cars It sure speeds up the process.

Steven Hernandez ceramic coating your wheels will do wonders. The dust won’t stick to them and you can just rinse them off and they’ll be perfectly clean

Ryan you have to buy this lance of Mosmatic parts number 24.723. This fits the 1/4 quickdisconnects. The length of the lance is 500 millimeters/200 millimeters.
