It's not that you lose the ability to produce lactase, it's the fact that your body will stop storing the calcium obtained in milk somewhere around age 21 and begin working off that storage. Once your body runs out of this storage of calcium it will then begin to break down your bones to make up for the lack thereof, so you need to consume calcium daily in order to make up for that and ultimately avoid bone breakdown (meanwhile, increased milk consumption also has other affects, such as making your nails stronger and less likely to split up in layers. I think that is probably other vitamins rather than the calcium itself, though). These are things I've consistently learned from biology teachers, an anatomy teacher, and a biotechnology teacher. I've actually never heard anything about "the extreme acidity of lactose" because, well, it's just sugar. Milk sugar, and cow's milk itself actually has a pH of around 6.7. Versus fruits (which contain fructose) which usually range in a pH of 3-5, so with that argument fruit would be much more devastating than milk. However, if you're truly afraid of milk's "degenerative powers", try goat's milk, which is actually a recommended alternative to those with lactose intolerance (which is the actual inability to produce a proper amount of lactase, not just something that occurs naturally in all people).

The first song of the game is from Anpanman^^! It's my childhood TV-show and it's from Japan :). It's about an anpan (a red bean paste filled pastry) man who saves the day with currypanman and shokupanman. It's a hilarious show (^^).
