Break the silence! I'm so proud of this beautiful young woman for breaking the silence and speaking out against her abuser! And thank the heavens above, she had friends there that helped her! She probably wouldn't have made it out alive if it weren't for those people being at her house and calling 911. Statistically, 3 to 4 women DIE EVERY DAY at the hands of their abuser! Every 60 seconds, TWENTY women are beaten and abused by their partner! And 1 in 4 women are or have been in an abusive relationship. That means YOU or definitely someone you know has been or is being abused by their partner. If you or someone you know needs help .. call the Domestic Violence National Hotline ~ 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) ~ Or call your local safe house hotline, wherever you may be. I know it's scary but YOU need to take control and get your life back! Take the first step! You deserve to be free. And if you suspect domestic violence is going on with someone you know .. reach out! Offer help! Silence can be deadly.

I know this is an old story but it is still relevant. If you are a man and you hurt and abuse the one you claim to love then something is seriously wrong. Healthy men do not abuse their partners or their children. Strong men do not take out their anger on those who are less able to defend themselves. If you are a man and you are reading this and you have hurt your partner get help before you destroy both your partners life and your own. Beating your lover, or your spouse does not make you strong, it makes you a frightened coward. Stop the pain before it starts to get out of control.
