Learn from the Nam generation. Their story is much more relevant than the heroic tales of a war from a bygone era. But Nam vets lived through the most divisive time in american history outside of the civil war in the 60s and 70s and got dealt the worst hsnd by Uncle Sam when they came back home from a war that was much less heroic than the one this old vet fought in. And I reckon their knowledge might be much more relevant in todays climate. Lets make it where when they reach this mans age, theyre shedding tears of how far we've come and joy at the virtue and solidarity of the country instead of tears of despair like this poor vet.

Bless him, In romania was a really intensive war, we also didnt had that much of things like everyone. Much people take d kids and got into an bunker with much food and etc till the war end. We were on the point to lose tho some how god was there and safed us. WE FIGHTED FOR FREEDOM. ONLY FREEDEOM. THAT ALL WE WANTED. WE DIDNT WANTED MONEY, DIDNT WANTED SPACE. WE WANTED FREEDOM.

You know the thing that really makes me sad is our old People getting so much disrespect when they should get the biggest respect out of all Humans. and i'm dissapointed that the War still isn't over and eventually never will be. If the politicians would just stop driving us to a War that nobody except for them wants but i dont see that happening anytime soon. Thank you for your service "Salute"

Did you know that the movie shown in this vid, "Saving Private Ryan" was the closest actual thing to d-day and they didnt let veterans watch due to the fact that they might get flashbacks to the war. The fact that you can see the pure horrors these men went through just for us to ruin what they fought for. These men were true heroes, and although the characters in "Saving Private Ryan" arent real, they are the most accurate depiction we have of this tradegy. This comment most likely wont get many likes but people should know that these men are the definition of courage, determination, and pure spirit.

I pine for the 80’s when I was young, but I know the world changes. Scientific achievements, medical achievements, human rights and civil rights achievements. There are so many great things that exist now that didn’t in the 40’s. All he can think about are the specific things making him upset.
