I have Anterior pelvic tilt and did this exercise today! Great exerceise for lower abs and I could really feel my pelvic being pulled upwards in front and it was a great feeling for my lower back pain (No pain for hours). Going to keep doing this! Been looking for a lower ab exercise that doesnt involve psoas/hip flexor too much!

I can't thank you enough. I've had years of lower backpain and everytime i did a sit up or even do bicycle runs in the air I had massive pain aches in my back. This is the only thing that worked until now, I'm really gratefull, thank you so much!

Had no idea how much more difficult this exercise became once I tried to pin the roller to my butt as shown in the video. Makes a world of difference.

I use a basketball to squeeze my legs to my butt and use a kettlebell to hold the weight. Got to try it out when i return home.

Does this activate the hip flexors when you crunch as well?

No because he had the roller under his heels which activates the Hamstrings. If the Hamstrings activate then the hip flexors have to relax.

Eric great cues for this exercise. If he keeps his arms overhead in a prisoner like position, he can train thoracic extension simultaneously.
