Stunning that a Roman, Latin language, from South America is talking about a small Welsh towns football club. Vive Brazil.

They are looking great on the field. Revan looks like he's going to be a force to reckon with. Can't wait until all the new guys get familiar with Wrexham's style of play.

Most of the players last night will not give parky a selection headache for a regular starting place anytime soon in the league.

I thought it was great to see the senior players back on the pitch… they more they play together the better it will be

only time they will play together is in this cup, they nowhere near giving parkinson food for thought about a starting 11 place anytime soon.

Great mix up of the squad to give players game time! Forde back on the pitch was a great sight plus Ashfield! Knew Mullin would score gaining minutes to improve his fitness levels all looking good!!

I dont think parky will lose any sleep about fringe players forcing themsleves in to the league starting 11. None really impressed enough, to stake any claim at all. Pretty poor display in all honesty, our midfield went missing for the majority of the game. Only mulls and ashfield and maybe revan come out with much credit from that performance. The others will have to improve drastically to earn a place in the regular starting 11.

Scarr was good at the back especially in the first half
@clj.4874Ай бұрын
@@cburnage101He done okay, but again not enough to push o connell to be near the starting 11. Good back up to have if o connell gets injured. I dont think none of our new signings this summer apart from dobson have shown they any better than what we already had at the club. Strengthened the squad , but not the starting 11 from what we had in div two.

@@clj.4874 Once the twice a week games start, there'll be teams looking to bombard the box where it'll make sense to bring Scarr in and give O'Connell a rest.

Folks need to get over who is in the starting 11. Parky is building a 22 member squad that can be interchangeable. Meaning one player can get hurt and another can come in without missing a beat. Injuries can and will happen. This is no time for fan favorites. Its all about making sure we have depth with a next man up mentality. Brilliant win.
@BruceMcFarlingАй бұрын
@@grizlee1719 Yes ... there will be people who take the emergence of a clear 1st XI last season as a permanent thing, rather than a consequence of the players on hand at the time. This last transfer window was very strategic in filling in players so that there are two or three quality players vying for the spot at every position in the standard configuration. When the side has three games in a fortnight, six or more games over four weeks, there will be rotation, both to keep players fresh and because of players picking up knocks.

First what exactly?
@NextGenChampАй бұрын
Why are they sticking with the 5-3-2 after bring in more Forwards ahead of the Transfer Window, and in a somewhat meaningless game like this?
@BruceMcFarlingАй бұрын
Why would they change the shape in a game primarily to get minutes in? Instead of a few players playing out of their position if they come into the side in League play, every single player would be playing out of their position if they come into the side in League play.

I thought it was a lot of fun watching Cleworth in midfield. I agree with Bruce, let’s train a super strong one formation instead of a mediocre second

Don't doubt Parky's methods good sir, he is a master and you should rather sit back and watch him do his thing, which is going take Wrexham to even further heights...

@@NextGenChamp Well it’s the shape the first team play and the one that anyone breaking into the regular first team will have to fit into. We have the two best wingbacks in the division and it’s a flexible and effective formation. If you watch closely you’ll see it naturally switch between 5-3-2, 3,52, 433 and 442. It happens that fluidly it’s goes in-noticed.
@NextGenChampАй бұрын
@geronimo825 tot4ally understandable with the start of the season facing some strong teams and without Mullin at first. But from Academy to senior division in almost all major leagues, 1st teams utilize multiple strategy based formations depending on the opponents. There is already a set rotation for the 2 Forwards. Obviously Marriott/Mullin and Palmer/Fletcher will swap for each other. The late transfers have no room to play unless formations change based on opponent analytics come into play.
