Sincerely, this might be the single most-valuable, smartest explanation of “proper lifting for hypertrophy” ever made- that I have ever seen in 20 years as a bodybuilder. I have been trying to explain this to clients for years- working as a trainer since 2004. All the kids criticizing Coleman, Cutler, Branch over the years- please see this video and take notes. Thank you, Mike, for putting this out and explaining it so eloquently.

100% agree. Now I look at those pros training and see they are literally moving *with* their muscles, but I was always thinking they had bad form or are training "wrong." Ever since switching to Mike's "rocking" reps, I find not only do I feel the muscle better, it's also easier on the joints as well, and I don't need a fuck-ton of weight.

Exactly!! I’ve had similar thoughts for a while now but Big Mike has the words to explain it

Wish I could train with Mike. The difference between "this is how you should be doing it" and "this is shit" are sometime subtle watching the video alone. I still wonder if I'm doing the movements correctly. Great channel, regardless.

1:15 onwards No wonder I get all sorts of upper back and neck pain when I use the seated chest supported row machine at the gym I go to, the thing has no where to place and dig your feet, so I just realized I was shoulder imbalanced when using it. Thank you Mike.

Started working the triceps with the cable alternating overhead and bent over and the stimulus is unreal using your technique. This channel has helped me so much with the movements, now im just loading correctly and going to form failure. One of the best cues for the lat row machine is that downward pressure, so key for feeling the low lat. Cheers!

You make yourself an easy target. You make your videos for such a small percentage of people where you just waste your breathe. These could be 3 minute videos but you rant about one specific thing that you saw that no one has any idea what you're talking about.
@corneliusparkin24012 жыл бұрын
No, how he’s doing them now is just fine. That percentage is less tiny than you probably realize. There is a reason he is sky rocketing up in regards to followers and views. He has a great character which is enjoyable to listen to. He also gives tips that are great for even advanced athletes. Without becoming so detail focused that it’s hard to implement what he’s talking about.
@sixman992 жыл бұрын
We know exactly what he's talking about. The "what not to do" part is now vividly clear when he's making fun of these idiots. Mike's content is truly unmatched. We'll take it however he wants to present it.
