0:59 where you talk about check the screw depth, have you had a look at Spike Plates? I'm considering getting, or even making my own, and was wondering your thoughts on them.

Perhaps, but here I would still use a faceplates.I do have a smaller spike plate but it is too small for this. But I like them. Sam

Beautiful platter Sam. As you showed in the video, I love the color change in the wood from sanded to a little finish applied. The wood pops and reveals itself. Absolutely awesome. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, Sam. Question; does the band saw table extension help cutting platter and bowl blanks? Do you use any sort of circle cutting jig?

I would use a circle jig on some items but not on this. Cutting this blank perfect is not critical. The table is great for cutting everything on the bandsaw but especially large heavy blocks of wood or logs. Sam

Hi Sam, Where did you get that cap on your bottle of Dr's Woodshop wax? Mine has the original flip type cap that is prone to clogging and a pain to work with.

You can wet sand with lots of stuff including the actual finish you are using. Here I am using Doctor's woodshop oil. Sam
