I'm hoping part of the stress test is going to be taking the large table and have people sit in the middle of the table and see how many can fit on it before it breaks. Having such a long table with corner legs seems a little risky.

For a stress test: use the largest table and load weight into the middle of it until either the legs spread out or the bottom falls through.

backing up a trailer is /effing/ hard. messes with your head. [/from a family who owned a boat.]
@bryanwoods33734 жыл бұрын
I have a CDL, and it's still hard. The length of your trailer and your pivot point change so much of how you move and respond. Though straight backing is pretty easy once you get into position.
@Arby6314 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, it’s worse the larger the trailer. Any elevation change sucks too. I had to back up a trailer up a 35degree slope with only slightly more room than the truck and trailer to maneuver. I’d assume that F-350 has the pullout trailer side mirrors, but if not they would help a lot.

Goose necks turn super sharp compared to a bumper hitch trailer. One trick to to put your hand at the bottom the the steering wheel. It allows you to turn your hand the way you want the trailer to go. Also you have to use mirrors sticking your head out the window or trying to see out the rear of the truck is useless.

I agree that what I am interested in seeing stress tested is not the lilliput so much as the large (and also medium) tables. The long edge middle strength is what I want to know about. Will someone standing up from their chair, putting their weight on the table to help them get up, stress those long side? Basically, weight capacity in the middle -- especially the longer the table gets.
@cameronbrown64464 жыл бұрын
It seems especially important to do this on the vault bottom, but doing it on the toppers would be very helpful too. My recommendation is to do some real tests on the large table and the wargaming tables... and THEN blow up a Lilliput.

In my opinion we don’t need 3 Wyrm Lyfes a week. I’d rather have quality content with authentic experiences than overproduced shots with little content quickly edited by tired people. Doug, if your trying to come up with something different like distressing the wood, how about scorching it. (I believe that's what it's called) you must have a pyro working for you. My cousin made a table like that, and once it's been oiled or stained the grain really pops. Its beautiful.

If you send JV to Keystone, could you maybe also get some shots in, how the Wyrmwood Seating options (chairs and banks) are holding up to the modular gaming table? Like is a bank sized for a medium table or a big one? Since they are produced at keystone anyway that should be doable.

Description Question: I would have been able to do it when I was 12, and actually when I was 14, I backed a truck and trailer that size down a quarter mile long driveway that had only a 1.5 foot clearance on either side to the trees. I first started out when I was 8, driving a lawn tractor with a small wagon on the back for hauling leaves/brush. What I can say is that the longer the radius of the trailer axels to the hinge point (where ever the trailer hitches) the more forgiving it is if you start making a mistake. The shorter the radius is, the more drastic that mistake will be.

I haven't backed yet so I can't ask this on the kickstarter, but for those of us international backers who won't be getting ours for a whiiiile, how long will the backerkit be open for? I am interested in some, but I know that I may have more money next year (more likely less, but you never know) and the higher likelihood of me having the ability to upgrade much later down the road will be a very strong incentive to back now. Thank you ^-^
