@@oukichikichi 控制不了，一是政治体制脱胎于英国，而李光耀卸任后又没有政治强人能够在争议话题上一锤定音，二是医疗系统高度私有化、社区化，不同于国内以大型国有综合医院为主，新加坡是以社区私人诊所为主，必然不可能在应对疫情时像国内一样对感染人群进行大范围隔离收治，三是新加坡的低端就业高度依赖外来劳工，尤其是马来西亚和印度，这俩地方偏偏还是疫情重灾区，三点结合下来，只能选择放弃防控，强推口罩和疫苗

@@hanghang4084 我也觉得华人聪明。虽然白人精英也聪明，犹太人也聪明，但是他们没有华人的智慧。白人和犹太人的聪明属于好处占尽，只能我发财。当然他们自己族群倒是也团结。但种族主义是他们的dna，他们对外族就是掠夺那一套。华人的智慧在于有钱一起赚哪怕是外族。根本上不一样。

Western still practicing neocolonialism. To them, it is not about one pie or make the pie bigger, but they want full control of the pie & "reward" it among the countries based on their interest & will. If you don't behave well or don't serve their interest, they will sanction you & you don't get any pie.

这位政治家充满智慧，他通过智慧的语言告诫犹太人，不要玩零和游戏，不要重演犹太人可悲的历史，应该平等、包容的看待其他文化与种族。犹太人能不能接受很难说，他们的文化和宗教里，都将自己这个群体描绘为天选之子。犹太人悲惨的历史不是偶然的，几乎没有一个民族像他们这样被全世界这么长时间的排挤，他们应该反思他们自己的宗教与文化。

@@fasionstopper 几乎后面那些是流着泪在看。王常委也是曾经年轻过的。我在上海工作期间一位直属领导是他同班同学，至少十几年前那批上海的干部真的是优秀，当然也是有新加坡、港澳台及马来西亚很多朋友的帮助和引导。很好奇现在王常委再读此文作何感想?_? 时光荏苒，为墙国流泪，图呼奈何。放眼脚下，在狮城实干，有所作为。祝福新加坡守住华人之光，又不止是华人。祝福新加坡57周年快乐，祝福我们大家平安健康。

十分感谢。 strategy 没有翻译成“战略”而是翻成“长远关系”是因为“战略”有“军事”的含义在里面，翻成“战略”会让中文观众可能产生误解。 there are two meaning of the word "strategy" (from google): 1. a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim. 2. the art of planning and directing overall military operations and movements in a war or battle.

很正常，华人如果过分亲中，那么新加坡的国家认同就会错乱，印度人说到底只是在新加坡这个华人为主的国家影响力有限，也并不担心他们因为中国产生国族认同错误。所以他们能客观对待中国。反过来，他们对于印度也许也会如新加坡华人的某些人对待中国的态度一样。。

Achieving world peace should start with neighborhood countries. Regional, Continental, link with road,railway,air n ocean with common issues/interest. It would be advantageous resolving indifrences within own circle, invited observer/UN when necessary, like Myanmar, N. Korea, Europe.

The foreign minister of Singapore said that gunpowder was invented in China a thousand years ago. As a matter of fact, without China, the United States of America does not exist in the world, the world history in the past few centuries has to be rewritten. Black gunpowder was first invented in China in the 7th century. Gun was first invented in China in the 13th century to fight the Mongols (near the end of Song Dynasty, I searched this fact by Google.). The Chinese gun was made of bamboo, black gunpowder and bullets were made of small pieces of stones, ceramic or iron. Europeans learnt how to make guns and gunpowder later. Europeans improved the guns and bullets and used them to colonize the world. Without the Chinese guns and gunpowder, UK couldn't colonize North America, USA wouldn't born. The world history in the past few centuries has to be rewritten.

Mutual respect, promote prosperity among all and most importantly is equality in building bilateral relationship between nations regardless of territorial size and economic strength. When Donald Trump yells American First and he and the Americans believe Might is Right and that is the American doctrine. However when such philosophy prevails, all good wishes diminished.

You are biased. Singapore is a small nation, but it is a independent sovereign nation. It is not abt for or against, it is about balance. Dont make Singapore a vassal state of US like Japan or Korea pls.

Yes, everyone should respect everyone. But if you look at Isreal today, they have been unilaterally bombing and destroying all the neighbor non-stop, often without provocation. And since this has been going go for half a century.....my guess is that it will be continuing this trend for a long time. So sad. I just hope everyone let everyone have a room for growth and survival and happiness.
