X4 Foundations: Testing split fleet with destroyers in composition.

Hello everyone,
This time I've decided to test a split fleet that is also capable of station demolition, by adding 10 Rattlesnakes, to my usual composition, of a Raptor and 100 Chimera.
Some conclusions:
- it is far better to have just one ship to worry about, that 10
- fighters are better for capital ship engagement that destroyers
- if one takes the time to snipe the stations's turetts, before sending destroyers, they can be used against stations, but will take a long time to destroy it and lots of micromanagement. In that regard, a personal flown Asgard, imo, is a far better solution.
Final conclusion, based on my experience:
- best solution for fleet combat: 1 Raptor + 100 Chimera fighter complement
- best solution for stations demolition: 1 Asgard (and some assistance against drones, in the form of carrier based interceptor wings)

I wish small and med craft would land as orderly and fluidily as they launch.... The launch from the Raptor looks so gorgeous... but that landing man... what a clusterduck. "What do you mean, how will they land?" - some Split asshole, probably

Yeap, in X3TC, launch 10 years ago, the fighters would line up nicely to land on the carrier, on the modern X4...nop, you can't have that...progress!?

Nice video! Do you use Mk4 Engine for all the Chimera or just Mk3?

That turret you tried to shoot down in the rattlesnake was either bugged or in the process of being constructed. I had something similar happen to me. When moving away from the station it will start shooting, but when getting closer again it doesn't do anything.

how do you get the rattlesnake to have a different paint color compared to your raptor

The Raptor has Solset paint mode, the Rattles have the default paint mode.

The Raptor...L/XL ships now have really good range for loot pulling :)
