There's no question I agree the Jasper and the Jasper v2 (Jasper Kronos or Tonasket) models are the gold standard model for the original models because of their reputation as rugged machines. However, I respectfully disagree with 19:23 when you mentioned recommending the E models because it's the final revision and even though the E models aren't nearly as prone to the red ring of death like the earliest original models (most notably the Xenon and Zephyr models that haven't been refurbished), I'm a bit reluctant to recommend the E models for the following reasons: 1. E models have a much cheaper build quality than their earliest variants and that weakens the reliability of the console to a certain degree. Microsoft's only rationale behind releasing the even cheaper to manufacture E models along with the Xbox One in 2013 were to rack up last ditch profits from 360 sales before the official end of the 360's lifespan (early 2016). 2. The E models have numerous common fail points in the hardware: XCGPU, KSB Southbridge, and the NAND Flash Chips, especially the 4GB NAND Chips

13:36 Falcons can be recommended too. Early ones had the same low tg GPUs as the Xenons and Zephyrs but later ones had revised high tg GPUs (which were introduced around the 12th week of 2008) making them as reliable as Jaspers and also more reliable than Slims. Jaspers too. Late Falcons, Jaspers and especially Tonaskets are more reliable than Slims. I have seen many Slims and Es die from various failures and even many ones that died from bad GPUs while I have yet to see a Jasper or Tonasket die. Those are absolute tanks and can take a beating. Those two are the ones I always recommend to anyone wanting to get a 360 and is worried about reliability but keep in mind that Slims are still good, their sudden deaths are nowhere near the scale of the initial consoles dying but they aren't the most reliable as many have believed for years. Another thing to note is that any Xenon or Zephyr that had its GPU replaced will also be very reliable and those suckers will continue work for the foreseeable future.

The only slimmer versions of the Xbox 360 I can recommend are the early S models with the Trinity motherboard from mid 2010 to early 2011, no questions asked. Trinity models are not quite at the Jasper v1 or Jasper v2 (Tonasket) levels of reliability but they're more reliable than the later S models (Corona, Waitsburg) and E models (Stingray, Winchester). I've seen a handful of Corona, Waitsburg, Stingray, and Winchester models break down because the XCGPU, 4GB NAND Flash Chip, or the Southbridge crapped out.

@PackBrewBadgeWI4 Trinities use the same XCGPU as Coronas so there is no difference there in terms of reliability.

@@vinyminotaur2694 Corona models have cheaper build quality than Trinity models, which is why I've seen more Corona models break down than Trinity models. Not to mention, Corona models use the less reliable KSB southbridge. Trinity models use the PSB southbridge (same as the Jaspers) but nonetheless, Jasper models are the most rugged 360 models out there.

@@vinyminotaur2694 what makes Corona models even less reliable than the Trinity models is the fact Corona models have the less reliable KSB southbridge and the Trinity model has the same southbridge as the Jasper models (PSB).

Both of my phat 360's and my phat PS3 died. RRoD for both 360's and YLOD for my PS3. I replaced the phat 360 with a 360 Slim and it works fine to this very day and replaced my phat PS3 with the terrible PS3 Super Slim with the sliding tray.

I used to have a phat Xbox 360. It never got the red ring of death. I forget when I had it though, but it likely had a Jasper motherboard. Not entirely sure, can't really check now because, well, while it never got the red ring of death, it did not survive to today. There was a house fire. Enough said about that. Anyway, I now have what I believe is the elite version of the second model of the 360. Still runs and everything.

The original Xbox 360 is like the first MacBook pro there's only one reliable model that being the late 2006 and all the Jaspers for the Xbox 360's case. And both still have problems though.
