“Could he very very bad in game”. I have experienced this first hand. Had one of the paddles mapped for “X-Reload” and the right mapped for “A-Jump” in Destiny 2. After doing a Raid (which took well over an hour” I FINALLY got an incredibly rare exotic drop at the end that I had been trying to get for a month. In my excitement I sat down the controller and it hit the “X mapped” paddle in the bottom and deleted it. In Destiny, in the inventory screen you hold X to delete stuff. Luckily, I was able to reclaim it from the collections, although it was at a significantly lower power level. Needless to say, I now lock all my gear from deletion IMMEDIATELY having learned my lesson.

Ninjassasin 744 I would ABSOLUTELY recommend getting one. I can’t play without it now. I’m so used to jumping and reloading with paddles so I never have to take my thumbs off the sticks I can’t play without it now. Being able to jump around and turn at the same time is a GameChanger in my opinion.

I had gotten a used Elite Series 1 off ebay and MY GOD it changed everything. Driving and shooting in GTA V a little difficult? Remap accelerate, boom. Now it's easy. Wanna just hold down fire in Neir automata? Snap, I just remapped that to the back button and I forget to take my finger OFF fire. Getting abilities on the shoulder buttons mixed up with trigger in Assassin's Creed Odyssey? PRESTO CHANGEO, now it in back and dedicated to a more productive finger. The elite series 1 was a game changer, literally. Only lasted me about 3 months because it was in pretty bad shape (and I admittedly fucked some stuff up trying to unsodder the control sticks to for a new one) but god it was a glorious few months. Pre-ordered my Series 2 and I'm impatiently waiting. So stupidly excited!

I want to buy one but ive been scarred from the series 1, I couldn't find custom controllers that had paddles that could also fit an audio adapter until I found the elite 1. But after 3 months the grips would come off and the USB port failed causing the controller to be very difficult to play with while charging and I take VERY good care of my belongings. Zero drops, never use with dirty hands etc. So if I'm going to drop almost 200 bucks on a controller I NEED to know that it'll last me at least 2-4 years if I take care of it. Ive been through 2 elite 1s and both had the grips come off and the USB port fail within 5 and a half months of everyday use. If anyone can tell me if the USB-C and new grips have eliminated my issues with the controller in general I may consider purchasing one.

As a streamer and gaming for long periods of time each day the original Elite didn’t hold up well and I had to buy others after a few months each time. Loved them but poor quality for serious gamers. I pre ordered the series 2 because they said they rebuilt it from the inside out so I hope the bumpers don’t break because they are made of plastic and the hand grips don’t come off after a month of play. Stick drift was an issue fairly quickly as well. Fingers crossed because I really do love these controllers. For the price I would hope the hold up for more than just a casual gamer 🤟 Thank you for the Video!

For the stick axis remapping, you could use that for a game like crossout. There are a few different ways you can move omni directionally (all directions) but I don't like the way they have it set up. You could set it so the left stick is all latural movement and then LT and RT are turn on point.

Hey! You can use a Bluetooth adapter (with a USB) to connect it to console with a USB port. Look it up! Most people I know recommend the 8bitdo Bluetooth adapter

One handy feature for the controller for me is not having to let go of right stick toggle to use axe/or jump, especially if you want to jump while aiming and shooting at opponents. Also building while aiming and shooting to protect yourself. Im a non- claw player.

If you have concerns about durability, do a search for the teardown vids out there. They made a LOT of changes internally to the design. This version shares basically no parts with its older sibling. And the components look VERY stout when compared to it. I'd still spring for the extended warranty...

@@Jacques10 Is it completely fixed? For example, if you play "Zelda A link to the past", press the left direction and wriggle it up and down without actually pressing up or down, will it register an up/down press? If so, then your controller still has the issue.

I just tested it 50 times, only happened twice. So I think they made the dpad spike a bit larger.

The charge case is also a way to keep it constantly plugged in so if you let it sit too long the battery won't start to die quite literally

"The best controller period." *Laughs in Razor Wolverine* I had the Elite controller. The RB broke within a month and the grips lasted just as long. When I got the replacement parts to fix it I found out a flimsy piece of plastic was holding the bumpers together. On a $150 controller. I bought a Razor Wildcat and it was the best controller I've ever used. Now I have the Razor Wolverine and it has convinced me to never buy another Elite Controller. Sure, there's no wireless. I personally like not having to worry about charging my controller. Sorry Elite 2.0 Controller. You fooled me once. It won't happen again.

Not wireless, it's kind of fucky with certain headsets, some people's controllers come out of the box eith stick drift, and the stick drift is worse than the elite, idk man, I've heard great things but it seems to be just as prone to having problems as the elite ...

10:04 it's for Legacy thumbstick control...originating in 007 GoldenEye 64...I use this control scheme sometimes, but had to change because a lot of games don't have it as a control scheme...having this option in the controller itself, allows legacy control in every game.

I use Legacy thumbsticks exclusively and have been pestering the Microsoft controller developers to add this option for years. I am super stoked to see this finally added now I don't have to mess around with 3rd party controller adapters or physically rewire thumbsticks anymore. Mad props to David Prien and the rest of the guys at Microsoft for getting this done!
