I cherish the thought of some unfortunate, unsuspecting soul tuning into the Jingle Jam for a nice gaming stream and discovering this beautiful horror show for the first time. The wonton references to The Great Fallen Heroes (“...he’s died MANY times for X-COM”), the slap-a-dash discussion of the tech tree, the horror of Not Enough Time Units (the foulest folly to befall any Commander). Positively sublime.

Imagine if primed grenades blew up if they were anywhere other than your hands. They'd land, their grenadiers would walk out, maybe throw one grenade and then everyone would explode.

@@Zappygunshot its actually incredibly effective if you prime all your smoke grenades. Essentialy, you can deploy MASSIVE clouds of long lasting smoke with 15 TU's. Its actually a massive reducer of casulties. I used to play like them, then discovered how good smoke bombs are and i can now never watch them again. The suicide idiots.

@@MrDavincikoden No, it was an RTA run. I used OpenXCOM and Ironman mode - Beginner (no mods) completed in 7min20, Superhuman (QoL mods) in 13min31

They tried that once, a couple years ago. It wanted them to insert Disc 2 (NOTE: on Steam!), and that was pretty much the end of that, but they had already pretty much decided it was hopeless by that point anyway.
