Typically mechanics are memorable for their visuals or how good it feels to execute, but SFX is something I genuinely appreciate and pay attention to after doing mechanics like Heavensfall Trio or Fate Cal B (I like the radiant sacrament SFX).

You spoke about how Pictomancer excels in longer fights with downtime and it had me wondering if Picto also benefits from this in Deep Dungeon since you're constantly dropping out of battles and can instant cast to prep your next big bursts. I haven't done Deep Dungeon since Picto and Viper were introduced so curious about your thoughts of how they stack up, especially knowing you'd have to sync down 10 levels (or more) depending on which deep dungeon you end up doing.

But I also understand that some creative efforts run their course and you probably have other efforts you’d like to focus on, I’m just curious!

I love the tinkerer with a gun but the dps falls much further away from the others in its role, so much that i feel that a new ranged physical will just overtake it. And a bonus question of what jobs do you imagine could come out for the tank, healer, and two dps if ya feel like.

I'm a little bummed out by the idea that the progression of the characters in the current Alliance Raid series will need to be divorced from the main story due to the non-compulsory nature of Normal & Alliance Raid series (aside from the Crystal Tower, of course). Do you think that Raid series should be made mandatory for story progression at some point down the line, or are they fine where they're at?

#PathOfMrMonday Hi and enjoy your PoE2 buffet I remember in ARR (and maybe hw?) there were recipes using weapons, tools, gear pieces as material part of the recipe. The question is why did it stop and if it's a chance to make a comeback? My personal reasons for reimplementing like: - using undyeable dungeon gear into dyeavle - like sky pirate glam to eliminate the role restrictions - to make glam out of disciple of land/hand into glam - maybe some catch-up gear upgrade

Gotta disagree, savage is not midcore at all. Mid core would be Bozja and content like it. I think happy is viewing savage form an extremally high level play perspective. which isn't wrong. like he said stuff like this can be biased on how people view content. Yet the jump form content like roulettes to savage , even now is to high to call it mid core. Bozja hits the right level of difficulty were its not impossible for a non raider player to jump into. yet not to easy as well, also can I pet your cat?

Savage is midcore, all you need is 710 ilvl gear and have an idea how to play your job. The only extra work is watch a 10 min KZbin guide. Anyone can clear if their mentality is solid which is that it’s okay to fail and learn the fight

the fact you, happy and the people replying to you all basically judge what "midcore" is through vastly different views and requirements relative to your own skill levels kinda just shows how utterly pointless the term "midcore" really is, and by extension shows how dumb it is to label content with terms like casual and hardcore in the first place since these are ultimately mindsets on how you engage with content, not apt descriptors to said content, especially when in reality we're just talking about difficulty, and just actually mean easy and hard.

Now that we have a job action trailer for XIV Mobile, unsure if you plan on doing any videos about it (if so, I'm of course writing this before it lol); do you think this is any indication for what can come to the "full version", maybe in 8.0? Not saying we need to have such a mobile-friendly condensed skillset or anything, but I'm seeing some interesting animations, easier to the eyes effects and straight up QoL in having some more fancy moves for new players. Could this be part of the announced "moving towards more job identity" the devs talked about? I've seen some people semi-meme about Mobile becoming an "ARR Classic" and I can sort of see it, but it would feel bad if it ends up a better experience than the "proper" PC version, especially if it starts to catch up a bit faster with expansion content...

I'm cautiously optimistic due to how job design has been with the dragoon pruning, the machinist flamethrower buff, etc. I don't think we're going to have unique job identity across all jobs in 8.0 because of how they've handled the balance this expansion despite them eluding it to be as such.
